About Webflow
Webflow is a visual website builder and content management platform for designers, agencies, marketers and development teams who need finer control over responsive HTML, CSS and interactions than most template-first builders provide. Its Designer exposes layout, typography, components and animations visually, while the CMS manages structured blog posts, landing pages, people, products and other repeatable page types. Webflow hosting, forms, search, publishing, SEO settings and custom-domain delivery can keep a marketing site on one platform. The product also supports custom code, design system reuse, APIs, AI-assisted page construction, localization, experimentation and app hosting, although those features have separate limits or charges. The crucial pricing change is that Webflow simplified its Site plans in May 2026: the former CMS and Business Site plans are replaced by Premium. The free Starter Site plan runs on a webflow.io subdomain and has two static pages, fifty CMS items, one gigabyte of bandwidth and fifty form submissions on the main pricing page. Starter is useful for learning and prototypes but is not equivalent to publishing a substantial business site on a custom domain. Basic now costs $15 per month equivalent when billed yearly and supports a custom domain, up to 300 static pages, ten gigabytes of bandwidth and unlimited form submissions, but does not permit full CMS-driven pages or native ecommerce checkout. Premium is $25 per month equivalent on annual billing or $39 when billed month to month according to the official migration guidance. It unlocks the full CMS, site search, code components, form file uploads and optional additional bandwidth. The updated Premium limit includes up to 20,000 CMS items according to Webflow's 2026 help article, but organizations should check collection and other site limits before importing content. Sites requiring Webflow's native shopping cart and checkout need a separate Ecommerce Site plan: Standard $29/month annual equivalent for 500 items with an additional 2% Webflow transaction fee, Plus $74 for 5,000 items and 0% platform transaction fee, and Advanced $212 for 15,000 items and 0% platform fee. Payment processing fees from Stripe or PayPal remain separate. Webflow also sells Workspace seats for designing multiple projects, so a team can pay both for publishing the site and for working in a shared Designer environment. Webflow's new bundled Team platform offering is listed at $2,500 per month with an annual contract, including collaboration, governance, Localize and advanced AI search/answer engine optimization tools; Enterprise requires a quote. Add-ons such as extra bandwidth, Localize, Analyze and Optimize can materially increase the total. Legacy CMS/Business subscribers may move to Premium only on renewal or a billable change, with a November 2026 migration schedule described in vendor materials, so buyers should verify the actual plan active on their account. In exact-product user reviews, design control, responsive layouts and visual interactions receive praise, while the learning curve, packaging complexity and scaling charges receive criticism. Those are qualitative themes, not empirical results from Toollers. Webflow suits teams that can invest time in web design and content modeling. Users wanting instant drag-and-drop simplicity, native multivendor commerce or predictable unlimited hosting allowances should compare alternatives. No site, API, accessibility workflow or commercial integration has been tested by Toollers; published prices are US-dollar list rates and can differ by tax and contract.
