Gamma Pricing 2026: Plans, Credits and Actual Costs
Gamma pricing starts free; Plus is $12 monthly, Pro $25 and Ultra $100, with lower annual rates. Compare credits, Business pricing and refunds.

Gamma's current pricing has six practical tiers: Free at $0, Plus at $12 per seat per month, Pro at $25, Ultra at $100, Business at $40 per member per month billed annually and Enterprise at custom pricing. Annual billing reduces individual-plan rates to $9 for Plus, $18 for Pro and $90 for Ultra, with the full year charged upfront at $108, $216 and $1,080 respectively. Gamma is now explicitly credit-based: Plus includes 1,000 monthly credits, Pro 4,000 and Ultra 20,000, while advanced models, Agent and API activity can consume credits separately from ordinary manual editing.

How Gamma billing works
Gamma uses per-seat billing for individual paid workspaces. Plus, Pro and Ultra can be purchased monthly or annually. The current help center says annual billing is paid as one upfront 12-month charge and can save up to 28% versus monthly billing. The annual plan does not give twelve months of credits at once; monthly plan credits still refresh on the billing cadence.
Business is different. The current Business help page says it is $40 per member per month, billed annually. Every member in the Business workspace consumes a paid seat. Enterprise is sales-managed and priced according to seats, credits and administrative requirements.
Gamma's current credit system has three buckets: plan credits, purchased credits and, on Business/Enterprise, workspace credits. AI activity spends plan credits first, then separately purchased credits, then workspace pool credits where available.
Free: $0
Gamma's permanent Free plan requires no credit card and starts each user with 400 credits. Free includes core AI creation, basic image models, up to 10 slides per prompt, 50,000 input tokens for initial generation, basic presentations/documents/websites/social/images, imports and exports.
The key limitation is that Free credits do not refresh automatically. A free user can earn referral credits—currently 200 per successful referral—and can hold up to 2,000 referral credits at a time. This makes the Free plan useful for learning and occasional projects, but it is not designed as a predictable monthly production allowance.
There is no traditional 7-day or 14-day paid-plan trial. Gamma uses the Free plan itself as the evaluation route.
Plus: $12 monthly or $9 annual equivalent
Plus costs $12 per seat per month without an annual commitment. Annual billing reduces the effective price to $9 per seat per month, billed as $108 for the year.
Plus includes 1,000 monthly credits, removes the “Made with Gamma” badge, adds advanced AI image models and currently supports up to 100 slides in a single prompt. It is the logical paid tier for freelancers, students, creators and professionals who mainly want more AI usage plus clean branded exports.
Annual savings are easy to calculate. Twelve months at $12 equals $144. The annual plan is $108. That saves $36 per seat for a full year before tax.
Pro: $25 monthly or $18 annual equivalent
Pro costs $25 per seat on month-to-month billing or $18 per seat per month equivalent when paid annually. The annual invoice is currently $216 per seat.
Pro includes 4,000 monthly credits. It adds premium image models, custom branding, detailed analytics, advanced sharing, up to ten custom domains and API access. Those capabilities make Pro much more than “Plus with more credits.” It is the first tier aimed at agencies, developers, marketers and client-facing professionals who need automation or advanced distribution.
Twelve monthly Pro payments total $300. Annual billing at $216 saves $84 per seat across the year before tax. A user who needs the API or custom domains for even part of the year should compare that savings against the flexibility of cancelling monthly.
Ultra: $100 monthly or $90 annual equivalent
Ultra is the power-user tier. It costs $100 per seat per month or $90 per seat per month equivalent on annual billing, with a published annual total of $1,080.
Ultra includes 20,000 monthly credits, the most advanced Gamma-supported text, image and video models, early access to new features and up to 100 custom domains. Gamma describes it as offering roughly 20× the AI usage of lower individual tiers for advanced workflows.
Twelve monthly payments total $1,200, so the annual plan saves $120 per seat. The percentage discount is smaller than Plus or Pro, meaning the decision to buy Ultra should be driven primarily by advanced-model use and credit volume rather than annual savings.
Business: $40 per member per month billed annually
Business is a self-serve team plan and is currently annual-only. The official help center lists $40 per member per month, which corresponds to $480 per member per year.
Business includes everything in Pro plus SSO, more credits for every member, the most advanced AI image models, SOC 2 documentation access, centralized billing and a locked training opt-out across the workspace. Customer content in Business workspaces is automatically excluded from Gamma's AI model training.
Business also introduces workspace credit pooling. Members use their personal seat credits first, then purchased credits, then the shared pool. Admins can fund the pool through one-time credit purchases or auto-recharge. This is important for teams with uneven AI usage because one heavy user is less likely to become blocked while other seats have unused capacity.
Enterprise: contact sales
Enterprise includes Business functionality and adds controls designed for larger rollouts: centralized admin and guest management, SCIM provisioning, audit logs, workspace-wide AI instructions, flexible credit structures, invoiced billing and priority support.
Enterprise pricing is custom. Gamma says the sales team tailors seats, credits and billing to the rollout. We do not invent a numeric Enterprise price.
How credits work
Plus receives 1,000 plan credits each month, Pro 4,000 and Ultra 20,000. Free receives 400 at signup, but those do not refresh automatically. Business and Enterprise use member credits plus shared workspace pools.
Plan credits roll over up to twice the plan's normal size. That means a Plus user with a 1,000 monthly allocation can hold up to 2,000 plan credits at a time. Pro can hold up to 8,000 and Ultra up to 40,000 plan credits under the same rule. Purchased credits are separate and do not count toward the rollover cap.
Gamma says AI errors and clarification requests do not consume credits. Different actions and models can consume different amounts, so “1,000 credits” should not be translated into a fixed number of decks without testing the workflow.
Buying extra credits
Paid users can purchase additional credits. The current help center lists 1,500 credits for $6. Purchased credits can be bought repeatedly, have no balance cap and never expire while the subscription remains active.
If the user cancels, remaining purchased credits are preserved after the account moves to Free and expire one year after the cancellation date. This is more flexible than plan credits, which reset to the Free-plan state when the paid subscription ends.
True-cost scenarios
Scenario 1: one Plus user monthly
A freelancer paying month to month spends $12 for the subscription and receives 1,000 monthly credits. If no extra credits are needed, twelve months would total $144 before tax.
Scenario 2: one Plus user annually
The annual Plus subscription is $108 per seat. That reduces the effective monthly cost to $9 and saves $36 over twelve monthly payments. The user still receives credits monthly rather than all 12,000 at once.
Scenario 3: Pro plus one purchased-credit block
A Pro user paying monthly spends $25 for 4,000 plan credits. Adding one 1,500-credit pack costs $6, so the month totals $31 before tax and provides 5,500 newly available credits before considering rollover balances.
Scenario 4: five Business members
Business is $40 per member per month billed annually. Five members therefore equal a $200 monthly equivalent or $2,400 annual charge before tax. The value case depends on SSO, locked training opt-out, centralized billing, shared themes and credit pooling—not merely on per-seat AI usage.
Upgrades and downgrades
Gamma says upgrades activate immediately. When a paid user upgrades mid-cycle, the account is charged the prorated difference for the remaining days. The new plan's credit allocation becomes available immediately.
On downgrade, existing credits are preserved even if the balance is above the new plan's normal cap. The new rollover limit applies starting with the next billing cycle.
Cancellation
Monthly subscriptions continue until the end of the current paid month after cancellation. Annual subscriptions continue until the end of the prepaid annual term. Gamma says the account then moves to Free, while existing gammas remain accessible and premium features become disabled.
Plan credits reset to the Free-plan state after the subscription ends. Purchased credits remain available but expire one year after cancellation.
Refunds
Gamma's current refund policy is strict and time-sensitive. Since December 1, 2025, full refunds are available only within the first three days after subscribing to a paid plan, and only when the account has not exceeded the relevant credit-usage threshold. Cancellation alone does not create an automatic refund.
This makes the permanent Free plan the safest evaluation path. Build real sample decks before paying, and consider a single monthly subscription before committing to annual billing if your workflow is still uncertain.
Taxes and payment methods
Gamma's pricing page says prices are subject to tax depending on location. The current Business help page says Gamma accepts major credit and debit cards and direct bank transfers from U.S. and EU-based banks. ACH payments require a minimum of 25 licenses.
Which plan fits which buyer?
Who should use this
- Free fits users evaluating Gamma or creating occasional low-volume projects
- Plus fits individuals who need monthly credits, cleaner exports and advanced image models
- Pro fits agencies, marketers and developers that need API access, analytics, custom branding or custom domains
- Ultra fits heavy AI users that need 20,000 credits and the most advanced models
- Business fits teams needing SSO, locked training opt-out, centralized billing and pooled workspace credits
- Enterprise fits large organizations requiring SCIM, audit logs, invoiced billing and customized credit structures
Who should avoid this
- Free is a poor fit for predictable monthly AI generation because starter credits do not automatically refill
- Plus is a poor fit when API or custom domains are required
- Ultra is difficult to justify for users that do not consume advanced-model credits heavily
- Business is unnecessary for small individual workspaces that do not need governance or credit pooling
- Annual billing is a poor fit until the buyer knows Gamma works for their source files and export workflow
Pricing pros and cons
Pros
- Permanent Free plan with no credit card requirement
- Clear public annual prices for Plus, Pro and Ultra
- Pro adds substantial professional features rather than only more credits
- Paid plan credits roll over up to 2x the plan size
- Purchased credits are inexpensive and tracked outside the rollover cap
- Business pricing is now public and includes team governance plus credit pooling
Cons
- Free credits do not refresh automatically
- Advanced AI actions, Agent and API use consume credits despite unlimited basic AI creations
- Business is annual-only and billed per member
- Refund window is only three days and subject to credit use
- Heavy API or advanced-model automation can create extra credit spend
Value compared with traditional presentation software
Gamma's price is modest if it consistently removes hours of slide-structuring and design work. Plus at $12 monthly or Pro at $25 can be cheaper than even a small amount of external design time. That does not mean Gamma replaces PowerPoint or Google Slides for every workflow.
Traditional presentation software remains stronger for manual layout control, deeply customized charts, offline editing and long-established corporate template workflows. Gamma becomes valuable when AI-assisted structure and design save more time than the team spends correcting exports or overriding layouts.

Pricing methodology and Tool-record conflicts
We checked Gamma's live pricing page, current subscription help, Business/Enterprise documentation, credit rules, refund policy and cancellation guidance on October 2, 2026. Annual individual rates and Business pricing come directly from current official sources. Current month-to-month Plus/Pro/Ultra values are consistent with Gamma's rendered monthly pricing and contemporaneous pricing verification, while the static crawler predominantly exposes the annual view.
The current Toollers Tool record still reflects an earlier research state where Business/Enterprise pricing was treated as custom and the individual monthly-billed values were not exposed. Business is now publicly priced at $40 per member per month billed annually, so the Tool record should be reconciled during the next pricing update.
The legacy April 2026 Toollers pricing article is also outdated in a more fundamental way: it says Gamma does not use a credit-to-unit billing model and describes generic Free/Plus/Pro/Team pricing. Gamma now publishes explicit plan credits, purchased credits, rollover rules, Ultra, Business and Enterprise tiers.
