AnyDesk
Access and support remote devices with lightweight clients, permission controls and team licenses.
Attended/unattended remote support, file sharing, privacy controls, session logs and large managed-device allowances cover key IT support needs.
Light client and straightforward sessions are supported by strong matched user aggregates; enterprise policy setup demands care.
Detailed public US price grid and allowances but annual prepayment, first-year promotion and chargeable concurrent sessions complicate forecasts.
2FA, ACLs, permission profiles and custom clients support governance; actual protection depends on deploying sound account and endpoint policies.

About AnyDesk
AnyDesk is remote desktop and remote support software for connecting to another computer or supported mobile device over a network. Support staff can connect to an attended user, inspect a screen with permission, transfer files and, when enabled, control the device for troubleshooting. Unattended access can connect to managed endpoints using configured passwords and optional two-factor codes; the person or organization operating each device must authorize those settings. Client settings support permission profiles, access control lists, privacy mode and other safeguards. The software spans Windows, macOS, Linux, Android and iOS with OS-specific features and remote-control restrictions. Free AnyDesk is explicitly for personal, non-commercial use; the vendor says professional support, employee remote work and other compensated work require a paid license. For business, Solo is one licensed person with one non-expandable concurrent connection, three initiating devices and a 100-device unattended-access allowance. Standard supports up to 20 team users and initially one concurrent connection with optional extra channels; it starts with 500 managed devices. Advanced supports up to 100 users, starts with two simultaneous connections and 1,000 managed devices, and adds stronger administration and deployment controls. Ultimate is quoted and can be delivered in the cloud or on-premises, with broader governance/SSO and integration options. A connection channel is not the same as a user seat or a managed device; procurement should count technicians connecting simultaneously, not just the number of employees. AnyDesk's public November 2026 US pricing page advertises a temporary 20% first-year discount: Solo $23.12 per month-equivalent (normally $28.90), Standard $39.92 (normally $49.90) per one connection and Advanced $89.52 (normally $111.90) for two connections. Every figure is billed in advance for the full year, not a month-to-month subscription. Additional Standard and Advanced connections are listed at $44.90 each per month-equivalent annually; tax and optional integrations may increase total cost. AnyDesk's support documentation says cancellation normally must happen at least 30 days before renewal, unless the signed contract provides otherwise. Free personal access should not be represented as a commercial trial. A Start Business Trial action is available on paid-plan pages, but trial eligibility and duration depend on the offer. G2's exact AnyDesk page shows 4.5/5 from 1,101 reviews; Capterra's matched product page shows 4.6/5 from approximately 1,798. These are separately sampled user aggregates, not an endorsement of safe configurations. Toollers has not connected to a device, tested latency or evaluated an organization's security posture.
Best for
Independent support technicians, SMB help desks, managed service providers, distributed IT staff and organizations requiring attended or controlled unattended remote access.
AnyDesk pros and cons
Pros
- Lightweight cross-platform clients make short attended support sessions practical.
- Solo clearly targets one professional technician with one concurrent connection and 100 unattended endpoints.
- Standard and Advanced support multiuser teams, managed endpoints, file transfer and session features.
- Access control lists, permission profiles and optional 2FA support a least-privilege configuration.
- Custom client branding and deployment tooling help established help desks standardize support.
- Advanced provides wider managed-device limits, additional concurrent channels and mass deployment.
- Ultimate offers cloud/on-premises choice and SSO/integration options through custom quotation.
Cons
- −The Free edition is strictly non-commercial; businesses cannot use it to avoid licensing.
- −All regular commercial subscriptions are paid annually up front; displayed per-month figures can mislead buyers.
- −Public 20% discount applies to the first contract year only, so the renewal may cost more.
- −Concurrency, initiating-device registration, managed endpoint counts and team user limits are distinct and require capacity planning.
- −Extra Standard/Advanced simultaneous connections and Salesforce/Freshworks or other extras may cost more.
- −Ultimate SSO/on-premises and enterprise integrations are not included in low-tier licenses.
- −Remote control requires device-owner consent and careful credential hygiene; weak unattended setup is risky.
- −AnyDesk's usual cancellation deadline is 30 days before renewal, which is easy to miss.
