Petpooja Alternatives: Six Restaurant POS Options

Compare Petpooja alternatives Restroworks, GOFRUGAL, SlickPOS, TMBill, DotPe and eZee Optimus by workflow, price status and fit.

Petpooja alternatives article cover

Petpooja is a plausible all-round restaurant POS for Indian cafes, dine-in outlets and delivery kitchens, but a buyer may prefer Restroworks for sophisticated chain operations, GOFRUGAL for a different restaurant inventory and deployment model, SlickPOS for a lighter entry path, TMBill for another India-focused end-to-end POS, DotPe for digital ordering and payments, or eZee Optimus for hotel-restaurant workflows. Those are use-case shortlists, not a quality ranking. Exact prices, compatibility and migrations require quotations and demonstrations, particularly because Petpooja does not publish a verifiable India rupee tier rate.

Quick verdict

Compare six direct restaurant-POS candidates by outlet format: Restroworks for chains, GOFRUGAL for structured restaurant operations, SlickPOS for a compact setup, TMBill for broad POS, DotPe for ordering channels and eZee Optimus for hotel linkage.

Key takeaways

  • All six candidates operate in relevant food-service POS workflows but differ in emphasis
  • Restroworks is chain-oriented while eZee Optimus has explicit hotel POS links
  • SlickPOS advertises a free-start path and eZee Optimus an official 14-day trial
  • Prices and billing units are not fully comparable without current quotes
  • No Toollers hands-on side-by-side evaluation or approved alternative catalog manifest was supplied

Why compare something else with Petpooja?

Petpooja publishes broad coverage for restaurant billing, kitchen tickets, recipes and inventory, Swiggy/Zomato-related delivery workflows, reporting, CRM and add-on marketplace services. Its official product page describes use cases from quick service through large restaurant chains. We have not treated the absence of an observed feature as evidence that Petpooja lacks it.

Reasons to compare alternatives are practical rather than sensational. The official Petpooja pricing page names Core, Growth and Scale but does not give a validated public rupee figure in our research. Its September 2026 guide says POS builds have different offline and inventory abilities; a buyer needs to match the actual licensed edition to the operational requirement. An established chain might need a specialized central-production model. A hotel may prioritize posting room-service charges to a property-management system. A small cafe may simply prefer an evaluated free-start offer or a deployment model that works with existing hardware.

How we selected and checked these alternatives

On October 29, 2026 UTC we examined official product and plan pages for Petpooja, Restroworks, GOFRUGAL, SlickPOS, TMBill, DotPe and eZee Optimus. We looked for five common jobs: taking and billing an order, communicating with the kitchen, maintaining menus and ingredient stock, receiving online orders, and closing or comparing sales. We then looked for meaningful differences in central chain controls, hospitality systems, supported devices, free evaluation, and price transparency. We did not install any of the platforms, hold a vendor contract or test integrations with a real merchant account.

Testing methodology

Research-only comparison on October 29, 2026 UTC of official vendor product and pricing pages across restaurant billing, KOT, stock, aggregator links, branch management, deployment and contract model. Included six relevant direct POS platforms. No Toollers purchased plans, restaurant implementation, benchmark, customer interview or verified catalog candidate IDs were available.

We did not rank providers by price where a comparable current number was not shown. An annual per-outlet license is not directly comparable to a trial, a self-service free-start form or an enterprise proposal based on terminals and modules. Even a published figure can omit taxes, implementation and hardware. We used an honest status such as Not publicly listed, Contact sales or Free-start advertised rather than invent a price.

Every row is a research-based fit statement, not a promise that a given plan includes every capability. The official Petpooja source does not establish a comparable checkout price for all builds. The GOFRUGAL website has several product and payment models, so a headline number from its retail product is not automatically a ServQuick restaurant rate. The eZee Optimus official pricing page confirms an available trial but its full, localized subscription amounts require checking. Ask vendors to price the same location count, kitchen devices, recipe needs and external ordering connections.

Six Petpooja alternatives in detail

1. Restroworks — when multi-location governance is the central problem

Restroworks, previously known as POSist, positions its unified restaurant platform around chain operations, centralized menus, production management, inventory, delivery and reports. Its official operations material describes recipe-level deductions and shared standards across outlets, while its product site emphasizes centrally controlled prices and roles. A group managing its own restaurants and franchisees may value that orientation more than simply having an all-purpose POS at each counter. The comparable Petpooja opportunity is also multi-outlet; the issue is which vendor supports the exact governance and exception workflow your company needs.

A chain can usefully test Restroworks with one menu change that needs to appear in twenty outlets, while several franchise locations retain authorized local differences. Ask how recipes, wastage and central-kitchen transfers are reconciled. Observe whether regional pricing, item availability and approval rights can be rolled out without manual edits at each counter. Petpooja advertises head-office menu push and central operations on supported builds, so it would be inaccurate to say only Restroworks offers those abilities. The relevant comparison is depth, implementation effort and proof that role permissions match your organization chart.

Restroworks’ official pricing page says estimates vary according to software modules, restaurant size, terminals and hardware needs. It does not present a single universal customer checkout rate for these requirements. A more complex solution may bring a larger onboarding project, but that cost must be quoted rather than guessed. Ask for the modules needed for POS, kitchen, stock, analytics and integrations separately, then compare their total implementation and renewal against Petpooja Scale or the relevant custom configuration. Best reason to consider Restroworks: chain governance is the project’s biggest risk.

2. GOFRUGAL ServQuick — for structured kitchen and inventory processes

GOFRUGAL’s restaurant cloud POS, ServQuick, advertises table and KOT management, kitchen display, stock and recipe handling, online aggregator orders, QR ordering and reports. The vendor’s dedicated restaurant page describes inventory consumption, wastage and a back-office view. That makes it a direct Petpooja comparison for cafes, quick-service businesses and operators who are particularly focused on recipe-cost controls. The brand also sells retail and distribution solutions, so buyers must select the restaurant product rather than confuse it with a store inventory license.

Imagine a small chain with raw-material purchasing managed centrally but sales in several outlets. Compare what happens after the same ingredient is bought, transferred, used and wasted. Inspect unit conversions, purchase bills, recipe yields, variance alerts and the time required to close stock. GOFRUGAL’s cloud restaurant page claims offline billing with later cloud synchronization, while product-specific guidance distinguishes device modes. Petpooja also provides offline capabilities on eligible builds. A buyer should therefore test the exact hardware and edition of both products, not assume one brand always works without internet and the other does not.

GOFRUGAL’s official broader pricing page describes both subscription and one-time-license-plus-renewal models, along with implementation and training charges that vary by model. Its ServQuick FAQ advertises an evaluation trial, but an old FAQ and the general pricing page do not produce a trustworthy current price for your particular cloud restaurant package. Request a current ServQuick quote with integration, support, cloud data and implementation items separated. This is a strong candidate where recipe management and a conventional POS workflow are central; the tradeoff is choosing among multiple editions and commercial models.

3. SlickPOS — for a compact restaurant or cafe evaluation

  • Inventory and recipes
  • Waiter/captain ordering
Pros
  • Official feature list connects restaurant checkout, kitchen printing/display and waiter ordering rather than offering generic retail-only billing.
  • Vendor advertises web, desktop, Android and iOS options, allowing outlets to assess existing device compatibility.
  • Inventory, recipes, sales reports and multi-outlet controls are named product capabilities.
Cons
  • The official Pricing link currently opens unrelated gambling content; no safe current vendor plan matrix or renewal terms were available for verification.
  • The website’s Terms of Service link shows the same unrelated-content redirect, leaving present subscription and data-handling terms unverified.

SlickPOS describes itself as a cloud-based restaurant POS that supports billing, dine-in tables, kitchen order printing or display, inventory and recipes, digital receipts, feedback and customer loyalty. Its site lists web browser, desktop, Android and iOS device categories and references integrations with Indian delivery aggregators. This makes it relevant to an owner whose first concern is getting a manageable POS running on devices already available in the cafe. It is a direct product-category alternative, not just a QR menu plug-in.

The SlickPOS site includes a Get started for free invitation and mentions onboarding help without a credit card for the demo path. We cannot infer from that wording that the entire production feature set is free forever. A cafe should ask which capabilities remain after the evaluation period, how many bills and users are included, whether kitchen printing and marketplace orders need a paid plan, and what happens to data if it does not upgrade. The draw of trying a simple product is strongest when the operator can run a meaningful end-to-end sample without promising a large annual contract upfront.

SlickPOS can be compelling for a single counter or cafe, but a sophisticated group should examine multi-outlet inventory, accounting integration and access controls in more detail. Its site does advertise franchises and multiple outlets; we are not implying it cannot serve them. The difference to probe is whether the chain’s specific controls are native, require paid add-ons or require custom implementation. Petpooja may be preferable if its local support network, preferred aggregator connector and current kitchen hardware are already operational. Best reason to consider SlickPOS: a lightweight first evaluation with the features your cafe actually uses.

4. TMBill — for another full restaurant-POS operating stack

Key features
  • QR code ordering
  • Customer loyalty and CRM
  • Atlantic Desktop POS
  • Kitchen order tickets / KDS
  • Pacific offline POS
Pros
  • Official product catalog covers desktop and mobile POS plus an offline Pacific version, letting buyers select workflow style.
  • Kitchen order tickets, KDS, waiter ordering and QR menus address dine-in fulfillment rather than only checkout billing.
  • Vendor advertises Zomato and Swiggy channel management along with inventory, customer loyalty, feedback and CRM components.
Cons
  • Official current website does not clearly publish POS plan rates; marketplaces display conflicting figures from ₹120/year to ₹5,999+/year or beyond.
  • Cloud Atlantic and offline Pacific are distinct product lines, so offline behavior should not be assumed identical for every quoted configuration.
from Quote required from TMBill; marketplace rates conflict and are not official

TMBill markets a restaurant operating system covering point of sale, kitchen tickets, captain ordering, inventory and recipes, digital menus, cloud kitchens, loyalty, analytics and aggregator integrations. Its official pages describe Atlantic as a cloud POS with offline and online operation, and list Android and Windows options. TMBill is therefore a direct competitor in the restaurant category, rather than a general billing tool stretched into food service. For a dine-in restaurant, a captain-to-kitchen workflow is a better test than simply comparing invoice templates.

Ask TMBill to demonstrate an order entered from a waiter’s phone, routed to separate stations, revised after preparation begins, split at payment and included in the day-end closing. For a cloud kitchen, check two brands sharing one production space, order cancelation and aggregator reconciliation. TMBill advertises these categories, but actual entitlements may differ between products such as Atlantic and its other offerings. Likewise, a vendor’s statement about quick order entry does not establish a measured speed under your internet connection and receipt printer load.

A verified public price for a matching TMBill bundle was not available from the official material reviewed. Its marketing emphasizes demo requests and broad coverage, so obtain a written comparison of POS, mobile captain, KDS, inventory, hosting, support and integration fees. Petpooja offers many of those components too; neither should be selected based on a generic feature checklist alone. Best reason to consider TMBill: you want to assess another India-centered restaurant suite with the full order-to-kitchen-to-report cycle. Main risk: package identity and actual total cost remain sales-specific.

5. DotPe — for QR ordering, payments and connected channels

DotPe’s food-and-beverage page positions a restaurant POS within a wider commerce system that includes a digital storefront, QR ordering, payments, inventory, menu and online sales channels. It describes bidirectional integrations with food ordering platforms and centralized views of order data. A business trying to improve direct customer ordering and payments may find that emphasis more aligned with its growth plan than a traditional counter-first POS. However, DotPe’s digital-commerce platform and its Rista POS application should not be assumed to provide identical entitlements; request the exact product names in the quote.

For a modern food hall, ask how a guest orders through a QR code, pays through an integrated flow, receives a ticket and gets a refund if an item becomes unavailable. For a small takeaway brand, compare the branded digital store and delivery-marketplace links. For a fine-dining venue, inspect table management, modifiers, split bills and stock. Petpooja markets integrated QR and website options too, so a successful DotPe demonstration must show a specific benefit in the buyer’s preferred customer journey, support setup or contracted cost. A broad payments ecosystem is not itself proof that every settlement is reconciled correctly.

DotPe does not publish a comparable universal restaurant-POS tariff on the official material we reviewed. A merchant should confirm platform fees, gateway charges, payment settlement timing, POS licensing, QR ordering, menu integrations and any per-order charges. Its merchant terms describe different charge categories, which is a reminder to compare transaction-level economics as well as annual subscription. Avoid treating a promotional online store rate as the total fee for a full kitchen, inventory and cashier deployment. Best reason to consider DotPe: front-of-house digital ordering and payment flows are central to the purchase.

6. eZee Optimus — for hotel restaurants and room-service billing

eZee Optimus is a cloud restaurant POS from the eZee hospitality software portfolio. Its official product site describes table and order management, ingredient and stock control, reports, cashier shifts, multi-outlet capability and integrations with hotel management systems. Unlike a generic standalone restaurant POS comparison, its hotel-specific pages discuss room service and posting food charges to guest folios. That is a material use-case distinction for an inn, resort or hotel that must keep food outlets aligned with guest accounts and property systems.

An independent restaurant can certainly consider eZee Optimus, but a hotel should test whether a dining order transfers the correct room, guest, tax, service charge and credit account into the PMS. Ask what happens when a guest moves rooms, cancels an item or settles a restaurant bill at checkout. The vendor documents integration with its eZee Absolute hotel software and openness toward third-party hotel systems, yet the exact target PMS and connector cost must be confirmed. Petpooja might support outside systems through marketplace integrations; no universal absence of hotel integration has been established here.

eZee Optimus officially advertises a 14-day trial on its pricing site, with price status still dependent on chosen outlet and integrations. Its FAQ describes subscription cycles, a possible setup fee and no refund after the available evaluation, so a prospective buyer should inspect the terms. Some vendor pages discuss offline apps while the FAQ says the cloud product cannot be accessed without internet. The right conclusion is not to assume a universal offline mode; demonstrate the specific tablet or desktop app and its sync process. Best reason to consider eZee Optimus: hotel POS and room-guest billing integration are first-order requirements.

Decision framework: how to choose the right platform

Restaurant format and daily order path

A counter cafe may prioritize quick item lookup and printing; a table-service restaurant needs split checks and waiter changes; a cloud kitchen needs aggregator states, delayed or canceled orders and brand-specific menus; a hotel needs folio posting. Petpooja and the six candidates advertise overlapping modules, so a broad feature checkmark is not enough. Prepare ten realistic orders, including unusual discounts, canceled kitchen tickets and an item that runs out, and ask each vendor to walk through them.

Inventory depth, recipes and central production

If ingredients account for much of your operating cost, ask about recipe yields, substitute ingredients, stock adjustments, purchase returns, waste, supplier pricing and multi-location transfers. Petpooja’s own guide says its builds differ in stock depth. GOFRUGAL advertises integrated recipe and inventory tools, while Restroworks makes central production a prominent part of its platform. Those are reasons to test rather than conclusions that one is automatically more accurate. Compare a week of approved sample transactions and check whether theoretical stock matches the expected calculation.

Internet failure, local hardware and training

Ask vendors to show the same printer, operating system and POS build you intend to purchase. Petpooja distinguishes offline availability by build; GOFRUGAL, TMBill and other rivals describe offline options; eZee Optimus documentation mixes cloud and specific offline app behavior. During a controlled outage, check receipts, kitchen display, duplicate ticket prevention and reconnection. Then train a new cashier to enter a complicated order. Documentation and a sales demo cannot substitute for observed workflow evidence collected by your own staff before committing.

Commercial model, add-ons and renewal risk

Build a quote matrix with outlet count, terminals, printers, KDS, captain or waiter app, online aggregator connections, recipe management, QR ordering, website, loyalty, SMS, training, hardware, tax and year-two renewal. Require vendors to identify who bills each add-on and what happens if you cancel mid-year. Restroworks quotes based on modules and scale. Petpooja documents annual per-outlet packages and a nonrefundable India subscription policy. eZee Optimus advertises a trial and possible setup fee. Comparisons cannot be honest until the same business scope appears on every price sheet.

Data portability, reporting and privacy

Before migrating, require sample exports from each vendor and verify whether the file captures refunds, GST categories, modifier IDs, recipe quantities and historical settlements. Petpooja’s India terms describe retention limits and export deadlines at termination, so its current customer should export before a lapse. Ask the replacement vendor how it handles consent and imports customer information, what it stores, and who can access owner and staff reports.

Who should stay with Petpooja and who should shortlist a rival?

Who should use this

  • Stay with or consider Petpooja when its verified build handles your billing, kitchen, stock and delivery together
  • Prefer it when the quote and nearby support meet local requirements
  • Retain the platform when migration cost exceeds a demonstrable workflow benefit
  • Pilot its multi-outlet functions before upgrading to the largest tier

Who should avoid this

  • Compare Restroworks when franchise-wide governance is the principal requirement
  • Assess eZee Optimus when hotel folio integration leads the decision
  • Try SlickPOS if a compact free-start path is a priority
  • Assess DotPe where QR commerce and payments dominate
  • Evaluate GOFRUGAL or TMBill for a different integrated kitchen and stock workflow

Pros

  • Petpooja has documented restaurant billing, kitchen, stock and order-management modules
  • It publishes support and multi-format deployment options
  • Existing outlets may avoid retraining and data migration by staying
  • Eligible builds support offline billing

Cons

  • Current public rupee pricing is incomplete for contract comparison
  • Each competitor offers a different workflow or evaluation option
  • Build and marketplace entitlements may be more complicated than anticipated
  • Migration and retention terms demand care
  • No verified side-by-side performance or support benchmark was available

An existing Petpooja customer should not change platforms only because another vendor claims more modules or advertises a promotional offer. Calculate migration labor, retraining, lost report continuity, hardware replacement and possible duplicated annual subscriptions. Conversely, staying solely because a POS is already installed can be expensive if settlement reconciliation is unreliable or a required PMS workflow needs a maintained manual workaround. Define a measurable problem, then ask the candidates to demonstrate its solution with your approved test data.

How to migrate from Petpooja safely

Begin with a full list of active outlets, current integrations, kitchen printers, staff roles, menu modifiers, customer balances and inventory. Obtain permitted exports well before the contract ends. The Petpooja terms discuss restrictions and deadlines after nonrenewal, so leaving the job until the last day creates unnecessary risk. Retain receipt and tax records in the form your accountant requires and treat customer details as protected data. Ask the new POS vendor for a written mapping of old item identifiers, taxes, recipes, loyalty balances and settlement references.

Next, stage a pilot at one outlet or one quiet shift. Verify a normal dine-in order, a complex split bill, delivery orders from each aggregator, a cancelled item, stock usage, a refund and end-of-day totals. Then simulate a device reboot and network failure if the chosen product claims offline support. Keep an escalation contact at both vendors and plan a short period of parallel financial reconciliation where feasible. Never promise zero interruption based on marketing material; a restaurant-specific cutover plan should identify owners and rollback steps.

Final verdict: shortlist by the job, not a star score

Petpooja remains a credible option for a broad India-focused restaurant POS purchase. Restroworks deserves attention for chains, GOFRUGAL for inventory and kitchen operation alternatives, SlickPOS for a simpler entry experience, TMBill for a complete competing restaurant suite, DotPe for connected ordering and payments, and eZee Optimus for hotel POS integration. None is a verified universal winner. The next step is comparable proposals, a supervised workflow pilot and contracts that clearly state included modules and data rights.
