Petpooja Review: Features, Costs and Buyer Verdict
Research-based Petpooja review covering restaurant POS features, billing, inventory, integration, support, pricing caveats and the right buyer fit.

Official product pages document KOTs, menu controls, inventory, CRM, reporting and aggregator workflows; advanced features vary by plan.
Multiple visible G2 reviewers praise cashier workflows and assisted setup; documented feedback also flags training and sync friction. No Toollers test.
Four plan names and monthly/annual selectors are listed, but official retrieved text withholds reliable numeric local rates, and optional module costs need quotes.
Vendor documents Zomato, Swiggy, payment options and 150+ integrations; current security assurances and exact connector entitlements remain unchecked.

Petpooja is a serious restaurant POS option for Indian cafes, quick-service restaurants, cloud kitchens and multi-outlet operators that want billing, kitchen orders, stock and online deliveries in one operating workflow. Its strengths are the breadth of its published restaurant modules and integrations; its buying complications are build-dependent capabilities, opaque final rupee prices and contractual data-retention requirements. This is a source-based Toollers assessment, not a claim that our team personally ran a live restaurant through Petpooja.
Quick verdict
Key takeaways
- Core, Growth and Scale tiers appear on the official pricing page without a verifiable public rupee figure
- The chosen POS build changes inventory and offline capabilities
- Swiggy and Zomato workflows, KOTs, menu management and reports are central
- Petpooja terms make data export and renewal timing especially important
- No independently documented Toollers hands-on test was supplied

What is Petpooja and which restaurant jobs does it combine?
Petpooja POSS is the restaurant point-of-sale offering of Prayosha Food Services Private Limited, according to the company’s cancellation and refund policy. It is meant to handle the transaction from the moment an order arrives: the cashier or captain records items, kitchen tickets reach preparation staff, payments are settled and activity feeds sales and inventory reporting. The company also markets optional services in its app marketplace. That is broader than a basic invoice maker because restaurant orders involve tables, modifiers, production timing, ingredients and multiple fulfillment channels.
The target record is Petpooja on Toollers.
For a single cafe, combining counter orders and delivery aggregator tickets can reduce the practical confusion of checking separate tablets and manually entering an order again. For a fine-dining venue, table merging, splitting bills and kitchen routing may matter more than automation across external channels. For a franchise group, the strategic benefit shifts toward consistent menu names, price rules, branch comparisons and controlled staff access. Petpooja advertises support across these formats, although the device build and service entitlement change what a particular outlet can use.
How we reviewed Petpooja: sources, date and testing limits
We reviewed the official Petpooja POS product page, Core/Growth/Scale pricing comparison, vendor feature explainer, support information, India terms and cancellation policy on October 29, 2026 UTC. We separately examined the current Capterra profile for product-specific user reports. We did not purchase a subscription, install a terminal, connect a printer, create live restaurant invoices, handle personal customer details or test an outage. Statements about reliability, ease and speed are attributed to the vendor or clearly identified third-party reports rather than promoted to our own observations.
Testing methodology
This boundary matters because restaurant POS software often performs differently under a busy dinner rush than in a sales demonstration. An attractive screenshot cannot establish printer recovery after a power cut, correct GST treatment on a split bill or synchronization when the Wi-Fi returns. We therefore treat each performance claim as a hypothesis for a controlled restaurant pilot. We also distinguish Petpooja POSS from the vendor’s other business products, including Petpooja Invoice, and do not transfer another product’s price or feature list into this review.
Feature breakdown: where Petpooja fits the daily shift

orders routed from POS to kitchen tickets and applicable display add-ons
ingredient deductions, stock alerts and purchase handling depend on build
consolidated orders and menu actions for supported services
day-end reports, staff permissions and owner visibility
variations, availability changes, recipes and outlet configurations
basic CRM with loyalty, feedback and digital ordering options in marketplace
supported terminals and printers, with offline differences by POS build
Billing, tables, discounts and kitchen tickets
On its main POS page, Petpooja describes taking an order, issuing a bill and generating a kitchen order ticket, or KOT, in a short flow. It also lists payment splitting, table merging, coupons and discounts. These are appropriate functions for an Indian dine-in restaurant where a group may move tables, add items during service and divide a final bill. What is not established by a feature name is the quality of exception handling. During a demonstration, ask the biller to void a line after the KOT prints, then examine the kitchen change alert and audit trail.
A kitchen display system and captain ordering application appear as distinct options in the current pricing comparison. That means a buyer should not equate core KOT printing with included tablets, extra displays or waiter devices. The most useful pilot is not a screen tour; it is a complete order involving two preparation stations, a changed item, one discount and two payment methods. Ask for the exact terminal and printer configuration used in the demonstration, and keep a record of which components are part of the quote.
Ingredient stock, recipes and purchase management
Petpooja promotes automatic item-level raw-material deduction, low-stock alerts and reports. The September 2026 feature explainer adds purchase and invoice workflows. If a recipe accurately associates a dish with its ingredients and portions, selling the dish can update theoretical ingredient usage. That is useful for a bakery monitoring flour and butter or a QSR kitchen where packaging adds a meaningful unit cost. It is not a magic inventory count: recipe data, waste entries, transfers, adjustments and actual stock counts still need discipline.
The vendor itself cautions that the POS build changes stock functionality. Its explainer distinguishes Electron with fuller inventory, Local with offline inventory, Android via a connector and Lite without an inventory module. A buyer selecting an inexpensive or lightweight build should not assume the broad Petpooja inventory marketing describes the exact purchased product. Ask for a written answer to whether recipes, purchase orders, wastage, supplier returns and branch transfers are included in your selected build and tier. Then simulate one purchase, sale, wastage adjustment and stock close.
Online orders, aggregator integrations and menu sync
Petpooja says delivery orders can enter the same POS and describes online menu management and order status handling. Vendor material also references the Indian delivery ecosystem, including Zomato and Swiggy. However, an integration tile does not tell us which API version, locations, marketplace fees or order fields are supported on every plan. Verify them using your actual aggregator merchant account.
Consider a restaurant selling the last portion of a popular dessert. The promised value of linked menu availability is that the item can be disabled before a delivery platform accepts another order. A useful test includes synchronized out-of-stock changes, canceled orders, refund messages and the financial treatment of platform-funded promotions. It is particularly important to check the difference between order gross value and the amount remitted after aggregator commissions, delivery fees, discounts and adjustments. A sales total is not the same as reconciled cash.
Reports, staff controls and multi-outlet management
It also describes user rights and central menu administration for chains. Those can help an owner investigate unusual discounts or compare yesterday’s performance across sites. The business value depends on accurately configured staff accounts and consistent menu and tax categories. Shared cashier logins, mismatched item codes or incomplete settlement records can undermine good reporting software.
A restaurant group should ask whether central price pushes, branch-specific offers, region-sensitive taxes and access to franchise financials are controlled separately. The vendor claims broad multi-outlet support, yet the feature explainer says Lite and Android builds have different multi-location capabilities from Local and Electron. Define the required chain functions before choosing a tier. For example, a head office may need menu templates and branch exceptions, while a franchisee should see only its own sales. Verify that permission separation in a real demo rather than relying on a general enterprise label.
Customer engagement and digital ordering
The core POS page advertises CRM functionality, and the marketplace includes loyalty, feedback, QR/digital menus and a restaurant website. A direct ordering website can make sense for a popular neighborhood brand, but software inclusion does not guarantee customers will discover it or choose it over marketplace delivery. Loyalty success also depends on explicit consent, offers that encourage profitable repeat visits and clean customer profiles. Ask which features are native to the selected plan, which involve outside vendors and whether messages or payment transactions incur separate charges.
Operators should distinguish an ordinary QR menu from fully integrated scan-to-order. The latter must associate an order with a table, send modifications to the correct kitchen station and synchronize bill settlement. A static menu QR code does not do that. Petpooja’s own product guidance describes Scan and Order as an integrated layer, but device, tier and activation need checking. For a crowded food court, token management or kiosks may matter more than loyalty; for a full-service restaurant, table-level control and waiter training may dominate.
Setup, supported devices and operational resilience
Petpooja’s pricing FAQ says its POS can work with Windows, Android and iOS devices and several printer categories, including common network and Bluetooth options. Its support page advertises around-the-clock assistance, staff training and on-ground help. These are positive support commitments, not independently audited response-time guarantees. Hardware compatibility is more precise than operating-system support: ask whether your particular thermal printer model, cash drawer, barcode scanner and receipt format work with the chosen build. If you already own equipment, obtain confirmation in writing before paying.
The September 2026 vendor guide says offline billing and later sync are available on its supported builds except Lite. Offline operation should be tested on the exact model and workflow rather than understood as universal availability of every cloud service. Take a controlled network outage, print several orders, process split payments and restore connectivity. Confirm if the POS prevents duplicate ticket numbers, shows conflicts and reconciles orders that entered through online marketplaces during the outage. Backups and recovery procedures deserve their own question because restaurant loss is measured in missed service, not just missing records.
Petpooja pricing: named plans, undisclosed total
| Official tier | Monthly payment | Annual monthly equivalent | Basis | Caveat |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Core | Not publicly listed | Not publicly listed | Build and outlet quote | Confirm exact modules and terminal rights |
| Growth | Not publicly listed | Not publicly listed | Build and outlet quote | Confirm eligible marketplace services |
| Scale | Not publicly listed | Not publicly listed | Build and outlet quote | Confirm full service rights and limits |
The current vendor pricing page names Core, Growth and Scale but does not reveal a trustworthy numeric India price in the material accessible to us. Its annual selector and product guidance indicate an annual per-outlet sales model, but local amounts vary. An older or differently localized price snippet is not a substitute for a current quote with the right build and hardware. Ask the representative to attach a dated entitlement sheet to the written proposal.
The full commercial question is not only the POS fee. Request implementation, training, migration, payment devices, KDS screens, captain devices, QR ordering, website, loyalty, messaging, special integrations, extra outlets, GST and renewal as individual line items. Ask whether the first year contains a discount that expires on renewal and what happens when a branch closes mid-term. A live demo is promoted, but the feature guide says there is no standard free trial for this POSS product; neither a demo nor an old promotion proves access to a perpetual free POS license.
Pros, cons and what independent feedback can tell us
Pros
- Official product spans billing, stock, kitchen operations and online orders
- Broad feature and services catalog may reduce separate point tools
- Named support, training and local assistance options
- Multiple restaurant formats and build choices
- Documented offline billing on eligible builds
Cons
- Complete rupee pricing and add-on totals not disclosed publicly
- Build and tier differences complicate procurement
- Data retention and nonrenewal terms require active export planning
- Marketplace connectors can need extra commercial confirmation
- No attributable Toollers implementation or performance evidence
Capterra’s Petpooja-specific review listing displayed 37 reviews at the research date, with feedback spanning different years, restaurant sizes and deployments. Some reviewers praised accessible billing, quick menu management and a combination of reporting and inventory. Others criticized advanced inventory learning effort, interface or service response, and at least one mentioned slowness at peak business times. These are attributable customer experiences, not laboratory results or proof that all outlets see the same behavior.
We would give greater decision weight to a current demo using the buyer’s exact order model than to a single enthusiastic or dissatisfied account. A cafe with ten dishes faces different training and recipe complexity from a franchise kitchen with several menus. Likewise, a customer complaint about an old release might not reflect the current application. Before deciding, ask Petpooja for a reference customer operating a similar business and request a support escalation path for critical weekend billing failures.
Who should use Petpooja, and who should look elsewhere?
Who should use this
- Indian cafes and quick-service restaurants consolidating in-store and delivery orders
- Dine-in venues requiring tables, KOTs and discounts
- Cloud kitchens using supported aggregator connections
- Multi-outlet groups that can specify and validate the right build
- Owners willing to maintain item, recipe and rights data
Who should avoid this
- Buyers who must see a fixed public rupee amount before contacting sales
- Very small outlets needing a confirmed permanent free edition
- Operators requiring unsupported hardware or a guaranteed offline Lite workflow
- Groups unable to maintain recipe and tax masters
- Teams unwilling to plan for data exports and renewal policy
For a simple single-counter business, choose the lightest build that actually satisfies offline, printer and reporting requirements; do not pay for an enterprise tier merely because the brochure lists more features. For a chain, start by mapping stock ownership, commissary transfers, discount controls and branch reporting. For a delivery-heavy kitchen, prioritize aggregator status consistency and settlement reconciliation. In every case, the purchase should depend on the workflows proved in a demo and a contract that states the inclusion of each required component.
Review score and editorial conclusion
Toollers has no verified Petpooja review score, score breakdown or assigned reviewer in the information available for this batch. We therefore do not reproduce a Capterra rating as our own, fabricate criterion scores or insert a rating shortcode.
Petpooja warrants consideration for restaurants that need one system across service, kitchen, delivery and management reports. Its public documentation is specific enough to create a focused pilot. The material remaining is commercial and operational: exact licensed build, permitted marketplace features, paid add-ons, year-two renewal, termination and data export. We would request those answers in writing, then trial a complete dinner-service scenario in a controlled environment before replacing an existing POS. Buyers requiring an independently established fixed starting price will need the sales quote first.
Sources and verification notes
The source review occurred on October 29, 2026 UTC. Vendor counts and claims are not independent Toollers measurements. The published Core/Growth/Scale product page, rather than a resale quotation, controls plan names here; active prices and availability remain quote-dependent.
