Asana Pricing 2026: Personal, Starter, Advanced & Enterprise
Asana pricing starts free, then $10.99/user annually for Starter and $24.99 for Advanced. Compare AI limits, plan features, trials and cancellation.

Asana pricing in 2026 is straightforward at the headline level but becomes more nuanced once AI allowances and management depth are considered. Personal is free forever for up to two users. Starter costs $13.49 per user per month on monthly billing or $10.99 when billed annually. Advanced costs $30.49 monthly or $24.99 annual-equivalent. Enterprise and Enterprise+ are custom priced. The largest pricing decision is not monthly versus annual billing; it is whether a team needs Starter-level project management or Advanced-level portfolios, goals and resource management.

Personal: $0
Personal is free forever and is designed for one or two people. The current plan includes unlimited tasks and projects, List, Board and Calendar views, status updates, unlimited storage with a 100 MB per-file limit and more than 100 free integrations.
The limitation is simple: two users. That makes Personal excellent for individual planning or a two-person partnership, but it is not a broad free team plan.
Starter: $13.49 monthly or $10.99 annual-equivalent
Starter is the practical commercial entry point. Monthly billing costs $13.49 per user per month. Annual billing reduces that to $10.99 per user per month.
Starter removes the seat limit and adds Timeline and Gantt, reporting dashboards, unlimited automations, Forms, custom templates, custom fields and unlimited free guests.
For many teams, this is enough to run structured work across marketing, operations, professional services, HR, customer onboarding and other cross-functional processes.
Starter AI allowance
The pricing page currently includes AI Teammates and Asana Dash on Starter. The allowance is five requests per user per month, capped at 50 requests per account.
Starter also includes 50,000 AI Studio credits per billing account per month. Those credits are a separate practical capacity from the normal project-management features.
This matters because a team evaluating AI automation should estimate how many recurring AI Studio workflows it expects to run. “AI included” does not mean unlimited agentic usage.
Advanced: $30.49 monthly or $24.99 annual-equivalent
Advanced is a significant price increase. The monthly price is $30.49 per user; annual billing lowers the effective rate to $24.99.
The justification is higher-level coordination. Advanced adds unlimited portfolios, Goals, resource management, approvals, proofing, form branching/customization and native time tracking.
A team should upgrade when it has a management problem that Starter cannot solve—not simply because Advanced has more features.
Advanced AI allowance
Advanced currently keeps the same five AI Teammates/Asana Dash requests per user and 50-request account cap.
AI Studio capacity increases from 50,000 to 75,000 credits per billing account per month.
The higher allowance is useful for organizations automating more complex workflows, but it should still be modeled as a finite resource.
Enterprise
Enterprise pricing is custom. The plan includes everything in Advanced plus large-organization security, administration and capacity-management capabilities.
Current pricing documentation lists SAML authentication, SCIM user provisioning, universal resource management, capacity planning, service accounts, view-only licenses, guest-invitation permissions and project-admin controls.
Enterprise currently includes five AI Teammates/Asana Dash requests per user per month with an account cap of 250 requests, plus 200,000 AI Studio credits per billing account per month.
Enterprise+
Enterprise+ is also custom priced and targets the highest governance and compliance needs.
The current pricing page describes additional capabilities including SIEM integration, data residency, audit logs and dedicated workspaces.
This tier should be evaluated through procurement rather than normal self-serve pricing.
Annual billing savings
Starter falls from $13.49 to $10.99 per user per month on annual billing. That is a $2.50 monthly-equivalent saving per seat, or roughly 18.5%.
Advanced falls from $30.49 to $24.99, saving $5.50 per seat per month equivalent, or roughly 18%.
The annual discount becomes meaningful at scale. A 50-seat Starter deployment saves about $1,500 per year compared with paying the current monthly rate for 12 months.
Free trial
Asana offers a free trial of paid features without requiring a credit card. Its current help documentation says new users can begin a trial and evaluate paid features before selecting a plan.
If payment details are not added, a trial can simply expire without creating a charge.
If billing information is added during the trial, the selected Starter or Advanced subscription is set to begin when the trial ends unless the trial is cancelled first.
Cancellation
Paid users can cancel their plan at any time. Asana states that cancellation takes effect at the next renewal date.
The workspace remains on the paid plan through the already-paid subscription term. After the effective cancellation/downgrade date, users lose access to paid-only features while their underlying work remains available subject to plan rules.
Refund policy
Asana's subscriber terms say customers who cancel during a subscription term can continue using the service through the current term but generally do not receive a refund for already charged fees.
There are contract-specific exceptions, such as termination for certain uncured service non-conformities or other rights under applicable law.
For normal buyer planning, the safer assumption is that annual billing is a commitment rather than a reversible month-to-month purchase.
Seat economics
Asana charges paid plans per user. That makes team size one of the biggest cost drivers.
Starter at 10 annual seats is roughly $109.90 per month equivalent. Fifty seats are roughly $549.50. At 100 seats, the monthly equivalent is roughly $1,099.
Advanced at the same 100-seat scale is roughly $2,499 per month equivalent before taxes or custom commercial adjustments.
Free guests can reduce the need to buy seats for some external collaborators on Starter and above, but organizations should confirm which participants qualify as guests versus paid members.
When Starter is enough
Starter is enough when the team primarily needs structured projects, timeline planning, request intake, dashboards and workflow automation.
Marketing campaign management, content operations, onboarding, standard client work and department-level project management often fit this tier well.
When Advanced is worth it
Advanced becomes compelling when leaders need to group multiple projects into portfolios, connect work to strategic goals and manage capacity across people.
Resource management is particularly important for teams sharing specialists across multiple projects. Approvals and proofing also help creative and review-heavy workflows.
Enterprise cost drivers
Enterprise quotes are shaped by organization size, governance needs, support and commercial terms rather than one universal public per-user number.
Security requirements such as SSO/SCIM, service accounts, data residency, audit needs and enterprise administration are common reasons to move into the custom tier.
Taxes and external costs
Published prices are software-subscription prices and may not represent final tax-inclusive invoices in every jurisdiction.
Third-party integrations can also carry their own subscription or usage costs even when the Asana connector itself is available.
Who should use this
- Personal for 1-2 users
- Starter for most professional project teams
- Advanced for portfolio, goal and resource-management needs
- Enterprise for large organizations needing identity/governance controls
- Enterprise+ for highest compliance and data-governance requirements

- Buyers that only require simple Kanban boards
- Organizations that need Advanced capabilities but have a very tight per-seat budget

Pricing methodology
Toollers rechecked Asana's live pricing page, trial guidance, cancellation documentation and current subscriber terms on October 9, 2026. Current self-serve prices remain Personal $0, Starter $13.49 monthly/$10.99 annual-equivalent and Advanced $30.49/$24.99.
Enterprise and Enterprise+ remain custom. AI allowances are taken directly from the current pricing page rather than inferred from older Asana AI documentation.

Cost examples by team size
Because Asana is priced per paid member, headcount changes the budget quickly. At the current annual Starter rate of $10.99 per user per month, 5 paid members cost about $54.95 per month equivalent, 10 cost $109.90, 25 cost $274.75 and 50 cost $549.50 before taxes. Paying the monthly Starter rate instead raises a 50-seat deployment to about $674.50 per month.
Advanced amplifies the difference. At $24.99 per user per month billed annually, 10 members cost about $249.90 per month equivalent, 25 cost $624.75 and 50 cost $1,249.50. The same 50 seats on monthly Advanced billing cost about $1,524.50 per month. This is why the portfolio/resource-management business case should be clear before moving a large team to Advanced.
How AI allowances affect plan value
Asana's newer AI allowances create a second capacity question beyond seats. Starter includes 50,000 AI Studio credits per billing account per month, while Advanced includes 75,000. That is only a 50% increase in AI Studio credits even though Advanced's annual per-user price is more than double Starter's. Teams should therefore upgrade to Advanced primarily for portfolios, goals, workload, approvals and time tracking—not merely to obtain more AI credits.
Enterprise increases AI Studio capacity to 200,000 credits per billing account per month and raises the account-level AI Teammates/Asana Dash request cap. Organizations expecting AI-heavy workflow automation should ask sales how those allowances behave at their intended seat count and what happens when credits are exhausted or additional capacity is required.
