BUSY Accounting Pricing: Magic, BUSY 21 and BLS
Compare BUSY Magic 360-day prices, BUSY 21 single- and multi-user licenses, BLS renewals, Online hosting, trials and extra costs.

BUSY Accounting pricing is best understood as three separate decisions: whether to license BUSY 21, subscribe to BUSY Magic or purchase BUSY Online remote hosting. The vendor currently lists BUSY Magic Start at ₹5,000, Smart at ₹8,000, Power at ₹12,000 and Power+ at ₹50,000 for 360 days, before GST, in its single-user examples. Separately, new BUSY 21 single-user licenses begin at ₹11,000 for Basic, ₹16,500 for Standard and ₹22,000 for Enterprise. The lowest advertised amount is not the full cost of a real multi-user, GST, hosted or renewal-dependent setup.

What are the current BUSY pricing choices?
A buyer landing on the BUSY pricing page will see overlapping product families. The BUSY 21 Basic, Standard and Enterprise columns describe a traditional purchase model, including single- and multi-user license options. The BUSY Magic lineup—Start, Smart, Power and Power+—uses term-based subscriptions. BUSY Online is an optional hosted environment for supported desktop software rather than a free web login bundled into every edition. Because the payment models differ, an apparent price gap between BUSY 21 Standard and Magic Smart cannot be judged without the renewal cost, functional scope and deployment requirements.
We have not inserted an author, reviewer or made-up score. Official product pages are used for price examples, but promotional and dealer quotations should be compared with the live vendor checkout on the date of purchase.
BUSY Magic plan pricing
| Magic edition | Price before GST | Term | Main published positioning |
|---|---|---|---|
| Start | ₹5,000 | 360 days | Billing and non-GST accounting |
| Smart | ₹8,000 | 360 days | GST, e-invoicing and richer stock management |
| Power | ₹12,000 | 360 days | Larger GST volumes, multi-GSTIN and premium voice support |
| Power+ | ₹50,000 | 360 days | Up to 10 users and 150 companies; higher e-document volume |
Start: ₹5,000 per 360 days
Magic Start is the entry subscription for billing and non-GST accounting. BUSY describes tax-inclusive and MRP billing, accounts ledgers, financial reports, inventory balance controls, depreciation and user-defined access rights. The plan includes a time-limited promotional Mobile App Lite entitlement for the first 360 days, subject to its stated conditions. A retailer without GST registration may find Start adequate, but a GST-registered distributor should not buy it expecting the Smart plan’s e-invoice, return-management and detailed batch features. These are different buying outcomes, not a small cosmetic upgrade.
The headline cost is ₹5,000 before tax for the published term, not ₹5,000 every calendar year or ₹417 as an officially offered monthly subscription. Dividing by twelve may help create a budget approximation, but it does not change the payment schedule or cancellation rules. If the retailer has multiple cashiers or legal entities, obtain the exact user and company limit in writing. Also confirm whether a data migration, customized invoice or local support visit requires a one-time professional services charge. Those items are not demonstrated as included by the Start price alone.
Smart: ₹8,000 per 360 days
Magic Smart is the most relevant quoted plan for many Indian GST businesses because it adds GST workflows and more inventory functions over Start. For a trader that currently maintains tax and inventory data in separate tools, this integrated scope is the reason to consider the additional ₹3,000 over Start for a 360-day term.
Smart also has limits worth testing rather than overlooking. Ask whether the stated e-document allowance is shared, per-company or per-GSTIN and how overages are billed. The official comparison calls some attractive capabilities upcoming, including Smooth Sync, a GSTR-9 dashboard, voucher auditing and an enhanced bank-reconciliation function. An upcoming feature is not present entitlement. Confirm that the release proposed by the salesperson contains the exact automation needed. In the demo, use a representative invoice and verify the GSTR report against expected accounting values.
Power: ₹12,000 per 360 days
Power builds on Smart with a larger advertised e-way bill/e-invoice allowance—up to 20,000—and support for multiple GSTINs within one company. It also lists premium voice support and client/SQL support among the benefits. That makes it a logical quotation candidate for companies with more tax documents or more sophisticated system configuration than a small shop. However, do not assume every multi-branch requirement is delivered today. The public Magic comparison marks multi-branch management, production/unassembly, job work and certain tax assistants as upcoming under Power.
The difference between ₹8,000 and ₹12,000 for 360 days may be small relative to a business’s revenue, but only if Power solves a real requirement. We recommend asking a vendor to show the extra GSTIN in the same company, concurrent users, approval settings and SQL connection for the exact installed version. A firm that needs production management today might instead need BUSY 21 Standard or another solution rather than paying for a Magic Power roadmap item. Make feature availability a written condition of purchase if it determines the decision.
Power+: ₹50,000 per 360 days
Power+ is the high-usage Magic offering. The public plan grid lists ten users, 150 companies and creation of up to 50,000 e-way bills and e-invoices, alongside expanded support. Those values should be recorded in the quotation because they distinguish the package from a cheaper single-user edition. A multi-company accounting service or larger business might benefit from that scope, but the headline amount does not prove every user, GSTIN and location configuration will fit. Ask how additional users and company records work and whether the stated counts are pooled across the subscription.
Power+ is not just a modest step-up: it is more than four times the published Power subscription rate. A useful buying exercise is to inventory actual users, active companies and peak annual tax-document volume before requesting the quote. If a buyer needs only two users and one company, an enterprise-priced allowance may be wasteful. Conversely, if ten people must work simultaneously and the accounting dataset is large, the per-user operational cost may compare more favorably with multiple smaller licenses. Include hosting, onboarding and tax in the comparison.
BUSY 21 new license prices and BLS
| BUSY 21 edition | Single-user new license | Multi-user new license | Single-user BLS renewal / 360 days | Multi-user BLS renewal / 360 days |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Basic | ₹11,000 | ₹25,000 | ₹4,000 | ₹8,500 |
| Standard | ₹16,500 | ₹40,000 | ₹6,500 | ₹14,000 |
| Enterprise | ₹22,000 | ₹58,000 | ₹7,500 | ₹17,000 |
Basic: licensed non-GST accounting
BUSY 21 Basic is displayed at ₹11,000 for a new single-user license or ₹25,000 for a multi-user license, before GST. The edition is positioned for non-GST businesses needing billing, inventory, ledgers, receivables and reports. The official BLS schedule lists ₹4,000 for a 360-day single-user renewal or ₹8,500 for multi-user support entitlement. This is a different commercial model from Magic Start: the new license is a perpetual-style purchase, while BLS maintains supported versions, updates and specified services over time.
Standard: GST and expanded inventory
BUSY 21 Standard is listed at ₹16,500 new single-user or ₹40,000 new multi-user, before GST. BLS renewal is published as ₹6,500 or ₹14,000 respectively per 360 days. Standard is the key GST-oriented BUSY 21 step, with e-return JSON, direct GSTR-1/IFF functionality and features for e-invoice, e-way bill and online return reconciliation that may depend on active service entitlement. It also lists batch and expiry, multiple stock units, bill of materials and production planning. The price comparison should therefore account for features the business actually needs to use, not only the label “Standard.”
Enterprise: branches and controls
BUSY 21 Enterprise is quoted at ₹22,000 new single-user or ₹58,000 new multi-user, before GST. The corresponding BLS renewal charges are ₹7,500 and ₹17,000 for 360 days. Enterprise is oriented toward branches, offline/online branch operations, data merging, branch reporting, approvals and additional administrative controls. A multi-branch company should examine how locations communicate, how stock and accounts consolidate and what network or server infrastructure is required. Buying Enterprise does not by itself pay for a remote hosted server or a professional migration project.
Additional users and editions are not a simple seat surcharge
The vendor also publishes add-on-user prices in its BUSY 21 renewal schedule: for example, Standard additional-user entries show ₹10,500 new and ₹4,000 for BLS, while Enterprise shows ₹14,500 new and ₹4,500 for BLS. The actual eligibility and relationship to the multi-user base license must be confirmed. A buyer should not multiply the single-user license cost by headcount without asking the vendor. Concurrent-user behavior, office locations, terminal licensing, SQL option and support coverage can materially change the correct quote. Obtain a single itemized proposal for the real configuration.
What happens after BLS or Magic expires?
BUSY’s distinction between license and service entitlement is central to renewal planning. A perpetual BUSY 21 installation can generally continue its licensed core operations after BLS lapses, subject to product and version compatibility, but updates, support and a range of internet-connected GST features may stop working. The vendor warns that running unsupported newer software after the entitlement ends can result in Demo Mode. BUSY Magic is different: it is subscription-based, and an expired subscription can enter Demo Mode. A company processing statutory invoices should budget renewals as an operating dependency even when the desktop license itself was bought outright.
Before accepting a quote, obtain a plain-language answer for what remains usable without renewal. A finance team must be able to retrieve books and prepare compliance reports even when an administrative renewal is delayed. Keep renewal ownership and payment approval with a named employee, maintain backups under company control and test export availability. These practices are not a substitute for reading the official license terms, but they prevent the price table from hiding operational risk.
BUSY Online hosting and mobile costs
| Remote access option | Public price / 360 days | Extra company / 360 days | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| BUSY Online Access | ₹10,800 | ₹7,200 | Hosted access for eligible Access database setup |
| BUSY Online SQL | ₹16,800 | ₹13,200 | SQL-based hosted access; database/configuration requirements vary |
| BUSY Mobile App additional device | ₹3,600 | Not applicable | Published annual/device renewal example; promotions may apply |
BUSY Online is promoted separately from the desktop license and from Magic subscription pricing. Its Access-hosting option is ₹10,800 per 360 days, and the SQL variant is ₹16,800 per 360 days. Additional company-hosting fees are ₹7,200 and ₹13,200 respectively, before GST. These prices describe hosted access rather than the underlying BUSY accounting entitlement. A company that already owns BUSY 21 Standard but wants remote accountant access should price the needed desktop license, BLS, the hosting option and users together, not assume the online cost replaces the license.
For example, a new BUSY 21 Standard single-user license at ₹16,500 and BUSY Online Access at ₹10,800 produce a simple first-term subtotal of ₹27,300 before GST and before implementation, hardware or other add-ons. That is an illustration, not an endorsed vendor bundle or a verified checkout total. A later term could include ₹6,500 BLS plus ₹10,800 Online—₹17,300 before tax—if the same one-company configuration remains appropriate. Any mobile app renewal, support arrangement or changed hosting plan increases that total. Comparing the first purchase alone would miss this ongoing cost.
The vendor discusses a mobile-app entitlement associated with a new BUSY 21 license for an initial period and a Mobile App Lite promotion during Magic’s first 360 days. Subsequent mobile access may involve per-device fees; BUSY’s license guidance gives a ₹3,600 yearly device example, with discounts tied to some timely BLS renewals. Eligibility, function level and account-specific promotions require confirmation. Mobile access is not identical to full desktop accounting, and a mobile app promotion should not be treated as permanent free hosting. Ask what the salesperson means by “mobile included.”
A practical two-period cost comparison
We suggest calculating both an initial 360-day budget and a subsequent renewal budget. Consider Magic Smart at ₹8,000 before tax per term: if the plan and entitlement remain unchanged for two terms, the simple subscription subtotal is ₹16,000 plus applicable taxes. Compare BUSY 21 Standard single-user at ₹16,500 new and ₹6,500 at the next BLS renewal: the corresponding illustrative two-period subtotal is ₹23,000 before taxes. This does not prove Magic is always cheaper. Features, supported services, data policies and included user limits differ, and the BUSY 21 license may continue core use after BLS lapses.
A second example is a small multi-user team. BUSY 21 Standard multi-user lists ₹40,000 for the new license and ₹14,000 for subsequent BLS. A new two-period subtotal would be ₹54,000 before tax, subject to the exact initial entitlement and configuration. It would be misleading to compare this with the ₹8,000 Magic Smart single-user headline as if both provided identical concurrent seats. Ask for the required Magic multi-user quote and any SQL or cloud option first. Use the same company count, billing period and service assumptions for both proposals.
Hidden or conditional costs worth checking
BUSY’s public plans identify software and selected entitlements, but a typical project can also involve migration, server setup, invoicing templates, training, support visits, remote access and hardware. Dealer discounts and bundle prices may change the invoice. Online e-document limits, additional companies and added users can also move the cost beyond the advertised single-user row. We have no reliable current one-price schedule for every regional reseller service, so we will not invent an onboarding amount. Ask the vendor to separate mandatory line items from optional work and state all applicable taxes.
Refunds need similar care. BUSY’s terms discuss customers who raise a grievance within seven days of annual subscription activation and allow a potential refund after a reasonable resolution opportunity, subject to company discretion. That wording should not be marketed as an unconditional seven-day refund guarantee. A product trial is the safer place to validate required tasks. Confirm whether activation, migration fees, promotional discounts, an upgrade or service usage change cancellation rights. Save the actual acceptance terms and written sales offer with the purchase record.
Which BUSY plan is best for different buyers?
Who should use this
- Start or BUSY 21 Basic: smaller non-GST businesses with straightforward billing
- Smart or BUSY 21 Standard: GST-registered traders needing inventory and returns workflows

- Power: companies needing Magic multi-GSTIN support and higher e-document allowances
- Power+: larger multi-company and multi-user buyers who can use published higher caps
Pros
- Both free basic and several paid editions are publicly described
- Two commercial models offer differing cash-flow and license preferences
- Published BLS, hosted access and user options support cost forecasting
- GST-capable tiers cover meaningful India-specific workflows
- Vendor advertises a 15-day trial for validating core requirements
Cons
- Separate product families make headline prices easy to misuse
- BLS and hosting can raise the long-term outlay
- Invoice quotas and user limits require edition-level validation
- Refunds are qualified rather than unconditional
- Some premium-seeming Magic features remain listed as upcoming
Our pricing recommendation
For a non-GST one-person business, first examine Express, Magic Start and BUSY 21 Basic against the actual invoice and ledger needs. For a GST-registered trader, choose between Magic Smart and BUSY 21 Standard only after checking online compliance limits, stock features and support after renewal. For multi-branch or production work, verify the precise feature status in Enterprise or a suitable Magic plan; do not confuse roadmap entries with current functionality. The right plan is the least expensive configuration that passes a complete transaction demonstration under the required user and location count.
Expert tip
Payment and verification checklist
Before paying, capture a screenshot or PDF of the seller’s exact price line, tax, edition and renewal date. Verify whether the quote says BUSY 21 or BUSY Magic and whether Standard means BUSY 21 Standard rather than Magic Smart. Ask for separate figures for hosting, mobile, more companies, simultaneous users, remote installation and after-sales support. During the trial, have the accountant reconcile a month’s reports and use the same data set for every competing quotation. The buyer should know the exit and backup path if the entitlement is not renewed.
