Flourish offers a genuine Free plan at $0 for unlimited visualizations and stories, including responsive public website embeds with attribution. The first presentation-oriented upgrade is Presenter, included through qualifying Canva Business or Enterprise subscriptions rather than a separate published Flourish monthly price. In India, Canva's official page advertised Business at ₹6,800 per person per year on 2026-10-28, or approximately ₹566.67 monthly equivalent when paid annually. Flourish Publisher and Enterprise require a custom quote. This guide separates that clear entry route from the higher-tier pricing, which cannot responsibly be represented by guessed subscription amounts.

Quick verdict

Flourish Free is strong value for public attributed embeds; Presenter pricing rides on Canva Business, while Publisher and Enterprise require a contract for serious team publishing and controls.

Key takeaways

  • Unlimited Free projects and public attributed embeds
  • Presenter is obtained through Canva Business/Enterprise

Flourish's pricing table names all four options but does not publish a standard monthly dollar amount for Presenter, Publisher or Enterprise. Presenter is provisioned by qualifying Canva subscriptions, while the higher tiers use custom contracts and invoicing. No buyer should compare a quoted Enterprise rate from a reseller with the $0 Free plan as if they represented the same users, use rights or hosting constraints. For Publisher and Enterprise, obtain written details on included creators, viewers, onboarding, invoicing currency, minimum commitment, renewal and service levels.

Free: what $0 actually includes

Free is designed for exploration and for creators prepared to publish their work publicly. Official Flourish documentation says there is no numerical limit on visualizations or stories, access includes its chart/map template collection, and unpublished projects with their data remain private. Published projects can be embedded on external websites and viewed at public Flourish showcase URLs. For educational charts, nonprofit explainers and blogs with already public aggregated data, that is a substantial starting capability without recurring licensing cost.

The material constraint is privacy and presentation ownership. Free website embeds carry Flourish attribution, and the published project's page can be indexed by search engines. The FAQ describes published Free visualizations as duplicable by other users, allowing the chart configuration and data to be copied. A company should not put customer-level financial information into a Free public visualization just because the editor originally stored its draft privately. Publishing is an affirmative change to exposure, not a cosmetic share button.

Some older screenshots or articles describe paid-only templates that have since become available more broadly. The current plan matrix advertises access to the full range of more than 50 templates on Free. Price evaluation should therefore focus on actual modern restrictions—embedding attribution, exports, collaboration, protected publication and connections—rather than purchasing solely to unlock a graphic that the current Free tier already includes. Build one representative chart on Free before assuming an upgrade is necessary.

Presenter: Canva-funded visualization for decks

Presenter targets individuals building reports, slides and presentation graphics. Its current entitlements include adding Flourish projects to Canva designs, searching and placing visualizations from inside Canva, PowerPoint integration, and PNG/JPEG/SVG outputs where supported. Within Canva and PowerPoint it can remove Flourish attribution, but ordinary website embeds remain attributed. This differentiation is important if the real deliverable is a branded web chart rather than a management deck.

The plan is included with Canva Business or Enterprise. On 2026-10-28, the Canva India pricing page listed Business at ₹6,800 per person per year. Dividing by 12 yields approximately ₹566.67 per person per month as an accounting equivalent, but Canva advertises the annual amount and may vary prices by geography, number of users or purchase channel. This is the cost of a much broader Canva Business subscription that grants access to Presenter, not a separately invoiced ₹566.67 Flourish charge.

For a single business analyst already paying for an eligible Canva Business account, Presenter may add no incremental license line at all. For a five-person design team that does not subscribe, an illustrative annual cost at the displayed India rate is 5 × ₹6,800 = ₹34,000 before any changes in tax or eligibility. That is an explicitly labeled Canva purchase scenario, not a custom Flourish Enterprise quote. Buyers should inspect their Canva billing page for the exact user count and regional checkout.

Flourish's Presenter documentation cautions that Presenter is not a Flourish team plan, even if users collaborate inside Canva. Shared Flourish folders, approval workflows and publication themes are associated with Publisher or Enterprise. When several editors need to own the same evolving story, a Canva account alone may leave important governance gaps. Price the actual workflow rather than assuming a design-team subscription includes cross-product roles.

Publisher: custom pricing for branded websites and editorial teams

Publisher adds features intended for professional online publication: organization collaboration, custom visual theme, removal of Flourish attribution from supported website embeds, scrollytelling, Live CSV updating and eligible HTML export. Each represents a reason to upgrade, but they are not interchangeable. For a newsroom the shared folders and approvals might justify the cost; for a commercial report the brand theme and white-label embeds may be decisive; and for regularly updated public statistics the live-data connection can reduce manual republishing work.

The official Flourish pricing page says Publisher requires a sales conversation and custom invoicing. A valid quote should specify contract duration, number and role of users, theme scope, storage and data-connection allowances, onboarding, support access, approval workflows, publication privacy and renewal terms. We found no dependable public flat-rate amount, so the table says Contact sales instead of inventing a per-seat subscription. A negotiated deal for a small editorial team may not resemble an enterprise media-group contract.

A critical technical limitation remains even at Publisher: Flourish's Live CSV help says visualizations connected through that feature cannot be downloaded as self-hosted HTML. The general pricing page lists both features, but the combination is excluded for those live-data projects. If your organization needs a self-contained static HTML archive and a continuously updating feed simultaneously, document that requirement and ask the vendor for a supported architecture before signing.

Enterprise: governance, APIs and service commitments

Enterprise builds on Publisher with additional security, access and brand controls, single sign-on, multiple hosted themes, the live rendering API, a dedicated account manager, priority support, service-level agreements and contractual compliance features. Flourish separately publishes an ISO 27001 security claim and data-protection documentation. These are relevant procurement inputs, but they do not eliminate the need for an organization's own privacy impact review or a decision about which charts can be visible on public URLs.

The Enterprise agreement is custom. A responsible request for proposal should state whether data will be public, internal or password-protected; whether a dedicated implementation and SSO are required; how the client measures service uptime; whether programmatic rendering volumes are high; and who owns generated visual content and exported assets. The API is not an automatic Free or Publisher entitlement: Flourish's Live CSV help identifies some API access as enterprise-level. Clarify limits, rate policies and commercial usage with the vendor.

Several teams considering Enterprise may already license another BI platform. Flourish should still be evaluated for its distinctive public communication tasks. It would be wasteful to replace a governed Power BI or Looker model simply to get more attractive website charts; an organization might use BI as the source of truth and Flourish as an approved publishing layer. Security questions then extend to the intermediate data extracts and whether those become publicly accessible.

Flourish true cost scenarios

Scenario A: solo researcher publishing public statistics

A researcher creating 25 charts a year from openly published datasets can use Free for a $0 license cost, assuming attribution and public discoverability are acceptable. The number of charts does not create a documented per-project fee. Real business costs include preparing the data, writing accurate annotations, testing mobile embeds and maintaining corrections. We do not assign invented dollar amounts to those labor costs, because they depend on the organization.

Scenario B: India presentation team using Canva Business

At the displayed India Canva Business annual rate, two paid people would represent 2 × ₹6,800 = ₹13,600 per year, about ₹1,133.33 monthly equivalent. Five people would represent ₹34,000 per year, about ₹2,833.33 monthly equivalent. Those figures assume the same publicly displayed annual price per person, no discounts, no taxes added and no seat-minimum variation. They include Canva Business's wider design features, not just Flourish. Checkout is the final authority for any actual purchase.

Scenario C: branded online publication or governed enterprise

There is no reliable arithmetic for Publisher or Enterprise without a quotation. Instead, send the vendor a requirement matrix with the number of creators and reviewers, annual visualization volume, frequency of live data updates, desired domains and themes, security and SSO needs, training, API usage, and support expectations. Request annual total, monthly invoice schedule, minimum commitment, overages, cancellation terms and an exit/export plan in writing. Asking for a direct quote is not a failure of research when the product does not publish its premium rate.

Extra charges and limits worth checking

Canva Business subscriptions are region- and user-dependent. Flourish Publisher/Enterprise commitments may include commercial conditions unavailable on public pages. Some export formats, video output, team folders, special themes, live updates and password restrictions are plan-specific. A separate hosting or CMS change could also be needed when embedding script-driven graphics into a locked-down publication system. These are procurement questions, not fees we can quantify without an offer.

Flourish's current pricing matrix identifies Assistant usage allowances that vary from Starter on Free to larger tiers on paid plans. It does not provide an exact public monetary rate for every possible AI use or an independent credit overage table. Do not assume an unlimited AI-generation entitlement from a general product headline. Teams that expect high volumes of automated chart creation should request the current allowance, throttling, queue and renewal rules before selecting a tier.

Cancellation and refunds are also different across contracts. Flourish has help documentation about canceling an older personal subscription, but that is not proof of the current Canva Business billing policy or a particular Publisher/Enterprise cancellation right. For Presenter, follow the relevant Canva subscription terms; for directly contracted Flourish team plans, inspect the signed agreement. We did not find evidence supporting a blanket money-back guarantee for all Flourish plans and do not invent one.

Which plan should your team choose?

Who should use this

  • Students and independent publishers using Free with public aggregated data
  • Analysts who already have eligible Canva Business for deck output
  • Media and marketing teams requesting Publisher for branded web stories
  • Organizations needing SSO, API rendering and advanced governance under Enterprise

Who should avoid this

  • Teams assuming Free published projects remain secret
  • Buyers expecting Canva Pro to include Presenter
  • Website publishers needing unbranded embeds on Presenter
  • Organizations requiring a fixed Publisher price before contacting sales

The cheapest plan is the right choice only when its restrictions match your audience. Choose Free when data is already public, visible attribution is fine and workflow ownership is simple. Choose Presenter when Canva slides and static exports are the deliverable. Request Publisher when multiple editors need consistent website-ready publishing, and Enterprise when central identity, contractual controls, programmatic output or service-level assurances are non-negotiable. If data modeling and internal dashboards dominate, compare BI platforms before paying for a publishing solution.

Price and contract advantages versus limitations

Pros

  • Free means no charge for unlimited attributed public charts
  • Current plan matrix clearly separates use cases
  • Canva Business gives Presenter within a wider design subscription
  • HTML, team branding and live feeds are explicitly documented on Publisher
  • Enterprise quotes can scope specialized governance requirements

Cons

  • Publisher and Enterprise amounts are not publicly disclosed
  • Presenter depends on Canva Business/Enterprise subscription
  • Public Free output raises discoverability and duplication concerns
  • Presenter website embeds still show attribution
  • Live CSV prevents self-hosted HTML export for those projects
  • Contract, refund and renewal details require confirmation

Flourish versus alternative analytics pricing

Power BI prices professional sharing per user or by capacity and is better suited to recurring governed reporting; Microsoft's India price page lists Pro at ₹1,165 per user per month paid yearly, excluding applicable GST. Tableau uses role-based creators, explorers and viewers and provides deeper BI authoring. Looker adds platform and user licensing rather than a simple chart-publishing seat. Those are not direct price equivalents to a $0 public visualization tier.

Qlik Sense and ThoughtSpot address analytics exploration, governed organizational datasets and AI-assisted questions; their paid units and contracted limits may differ substantially. Gamma targets presentations and narrative communication rather than a public interactive data feed. Use these products to test what your team is actually buying, and do not equate per-user BI subscriptions with contracted website-publishing rights.

Verification and buying checklist

Before purchasing, ask whether the exact plan can remove attribution from your intended website, prevent public duplication, publish behind a password, allow a required file export, integrate with your CMS and maintain a chart from the intended live source. Confirm the data owner permits a public embed. For Canva, verify the account shows Business or Enterprise and Flourish Presenter access. For Publisher/Enterprise, obtain a signed feature and price matrix and record which deliverables can be taken away if the subscription ends.
