Transkriptor Pricing: Free, Lite, Pro & Team
Compare Transkriptor pricing for Free, Lite, Pro, Team and bulk transcription hours, with monthly minutes, annual rates and rollover rules.

Transkriptor pricing depends on the number of minutes you process, the AI features you need and whether you pay monthly or annually. The service sells a Lite subscription for occasional transcription, a substantially larger Pro allocation, a Team subscription with administrative tools, and several bulk-hour offers. Its limited free evaluation helps with initial testing but should not be treated as a recurring production allowance. We checked the official US-dollar pricing page on 28 October 2026. The amounts below are published list terms, not a guarantee of your regional checkout or renewal invoice.
See the Transkriptor Tool profile for its current overview and related information.
This analysis separates subscription fees from effective usage costs. A large minute allowance can look inexpensive per hour on paper and still waste money if your workflow uses only a few recordings. Likewise, the price of transcription is not the same as the total cost of producing publishable meeting minutes, subtitles or quotations. Review, consent, corrections and team distribution can require human time regardless of the plan.

Key takeaways
- Lite: 300 minutes for $9.99 monthly; Pro: 2,400 minutes for $19.99 month-to-month or $99.99 annual charge; Team: 3,000 minutes per seat for $30 monthly or $240 annually per seat; Bulk: 100, 250, 500 or 1,000 hours monthly, with separate annual prices; Included minutes expire after a month; Annual prices are commitment equivalents rather than month-to-month rates; Compare effective cost using minutes actually processed, not the maximum allowance.
Multilingual AI transcription and meeting intelligence for recordings, interviews, webinars and reusable text content.
Best for: Marketers, researchers, consultants, journalists and customer-facing teams converting interviews, webinars, podcasts or meetings into searchable notes, SRT subtitles and follow-up assets.
- Meeting-bot recording
- Developer transcription API
- Bot-free desktop recording
- AI chat with transcription
- Call analysis
- The official app records and transcribes meetings, file uploads and YouTube-linked material in more than 100 languages, with speaker identification and edit tools.
- Paid Pro adds AI summaries, chat over transcripts, reusable meeting templates and an indexed knowledge base.
- A desktop capture workflow can record calls without a visible meeting bot, alongside conventional meeting-bot options.
- The source-sheet Content Marketing category is only a partial fit: transcription and summaries do not replace campaign planning, publishing or SEO measurement.
- Unused monthly transcription minutes expire instead of rolling over, so low-volume or seasonal users can lose allowance.

The published Lite figure appears as a single month-to-month option. We did not find a simultaneously verified Lite annual price on the primary live pricing page, so we have not inferred one. Pro's annual advertised rate is based on an actual $99.99 bill; $8.33 multiplied by twelve produces $99.96 because the monthly equivalent is rounded. Team shows $240 per seat per year, and the bulk offers similarly have specified annual bills. Confirm taxes, supported payment methods, discounts and upgrade conditions at checkout.
Is Transkriptor free?
The billing FAQ contains an option labeled Free – 90 Minutes. Other vendor pages describe a free trial with a total 90-minute evaluation allowance. It is not credible to multiply that by twelve and claim 1,080 free minutes per year; no public primary source in this research establishes such a recurring grant. If an app-store account presents a different promotional allowance, document its exact expiration, eligible account, per-file limits and renewal terms rather than generalizing from the web offer.
For a fair evaluation, choose a clean 10-minute interview, a more difficult meeting with several voices, and a short source in the target language. Compare the AI transcript to the recording and note the time needed to fix speaker labels and terminology. That uses the introductory allowance to answer real purchase questions. Do not upload protected customer calls merely because a free plan is available; authorization and data handling checks apply during trials too.
Lite plan: $9.99 per month for occasional use
Lite provides 300 transcription minutes monthly, equivalent to five hours of processed audio if all minutes are usable for your source type. The vendor lists file upload and conversion, transcript editing, organization, translation, sharing and web/mobile access. It is a sensible starting point for someone transcribing one or two short interviews each week or preserving occasional voice notes. It is less suitable for a person who needs AI chat, sophisticated summary templates or thousands of monthly minutes.
At full allocation use, $9.99 divided by 300 minutes equals about 3.33 US cents per minute, or $2.00 per recorded hour. But a light user transcribing only 60 minutes a month is effectively paying about 16.65 cents per used minute, or $9.99 per processed hour. This difference matters more than the advertised per-minute theoretical maximum. Measure your last four weeks of actual recordings before choosing the entry plan, especially if meetings are infrequent.
Lite includes essential text handling, but the official pricing comparison explicitly introduces AI summaries, custom summary templates, AI chat and knowledge base under Pro. Avoid assuming that every AI feature visible on a marketing screen is included in the entry plan. If summaries are the main reason you want the service, evaluate Pro before buying Lite on an annual or recurring basis.
Pro plan: $19.99 monthly or $99.99 annually
Pro raises the included allocation to 2,400 minutes per month, equal to 40 hours. It lists AI summary, AI chat, custom templates and knowledge-base features as additions to Lite. These matter to consultants or researchers who regularly need to query what was said, assemble structured notes and review recorded discussions later. The pricing page also states under Pro that customer data will not be used for training purposes. Organizations should still obtain the terms applicable to their actual use and integrations.
Monthly Pro costs $19.99, which is approximately 0.83 cents per allocated minute if every one of the 2,400 minutes is used. Annual Pro is quoted at a total $99.99, about $8.33 per calendar month and 0.35 cents per allocated minute over twelve fully used months. Those theoretical rates ignore taxes, editing time and unused capacity. Their usefulness depends on sustained volume; an annual buyer that needs one busy month and eleven idle months has a very different real-world cost per completed transcript.
Pro's annual discount is substantial. A user paying $19.99 for twelve separate months would spend $239.88, compared with $99.99 in the advertised annual offer, a list-price difference of $139.89 before tax. That does not mean an annual commitment is always better: a temporary research project may only need one to three months of Pro. Evaluate total expected paid months and renewal terms, not just the percentage printed beside the annual price.
Team plan: $30 or $20 per seat monthly equivalent
Team lists 3,000 transcription minutes per seat per month. The self-service rates are $30 per seat when billed monthly or $240 per seat when billed annually, which is $20 per seat per month equivalent. Its documented additions include custom vocabulary, speaker talk-time metrics, sentiment-related call analysis, usage analytics, centralized seat management and customized meeting-bot identity. These are management and workflow entitlements, not simply an increase in raw minute capacity.
For three seats, monthly Team list fees total $90, while annual billing would be three times $240, or $720 upfront for a year ($60 monthly equivalent). The nominal minute allowance is 9,000 per month if the vendor applies the listed 3,000 per seat to all three seats. Do not assume pooling, carryover or transferable seats without checking the actual order form. If one analyst consumes most recordings while two others only read notes, investigate whether paid seats, viewer roles or a different plan better fit the arrangement.
Team's monthly list fee is about 1 cent per allocated minute at full use ($30/3,000), while annual billing is about two-thirds of a cent. Yet the reason to pay the Team premium may be administration rather than transcription. If employees handle sensitive customer recordings, centralized account ownership and analytics may be worth more than the marginal minute rate. Ask whether access, external sharing, retention, single sign-on and data-processing terms meet procurement requirements before making an annual commitment.
Bulk transcription-hour plans
The same official pricing page advertises bulk packages at 100, 250, 500 and 1,000 hours per month. Monthly list amounts are $60, $150, $300 and $600 respectively. Each equals $0.60 per allocated hour, or 1 cent per minute, assuming complete use. The published annual-billing equivalents are $30, $75, $150 and $300 per month, with total annual invoices of $360, $900, $1,800 and $3,600. On an equally utilized annual allocation that is $0.30 per hour, or 0.5 cents per minute.
These bulk figures look linear, but do not assume that the purchase is exactly equivalent to Pro or Team in collaboration, AI summaries, recording modes, integrations, transferability or account support. The public page places bulk offers in a separate section without proving feature parity. Ask sales which entitlements are included, how monthly hours reset, and whether the purchased plan is tied to one account or several users. An agency with large batches of recordings could save materially, but only if the billing and delivery conditions fit its pipeline.
For example, 100 hours means 6,000 minutes every month; at $60 monthly the maximum allocated-minute rate is 1 cent. If the agency processes only 2,000 minutes, its effective cost becomes 3 cents per used minute. Pro's 2,400-minute monthly allowance at $19.99 would be cheaper in that narrower use case if Pro can handle the recordings and needed features. Higher nominal capacity does not automatically justify a bulk subscription.
How monthly transcription minutes work
The official FAQ says purchased subscription minutes can be used for one month from the payment date, unused minutes expire after a month, and a fresh allowance is added at renewal. That makes the reset schedule central to purchasing decisions. You cannot assume that unused time from a quiet August is available for a heavy September project. Track consumption by billing-cycle dates instead of calendar months when they differ.
Before buying, calculate uploaded or captured audio minutes, not the number of meetings. Twelve two-hour sessions require 1,440 minutes, whereas twelve 15-minute calls require only 180. Then add a buffer for interviews longer than planned, reprocessing files, alternative language outputs and transcription failures where applicable. The public page does not establish all rules for duplicate uploads, translation minutes or failed jobs, so ask support how the meter is charged for your exact workflow.
Transkriptor cost scenarios for businesses
Freelancer recording short interviews
A freelancer who handles four 45-minute interviews a month needs about 180 minutes. Lite's 300-minute monthly limit provides room for an occasional extra call and costs $9.99. The effective cost per actually used minute is $9.99 divided by 180, about 5.55 cents. Pro is unnecessary on minute count alone, but might still be useful if the freelancer needs its AI summaries or research knowledge base. A real pilot should measure how much correction time remains.
Consultant reviewing weekly client meetings
A consultant recording sixteen 60-minute client meetings needs 960 minutes. Lite is insufficient; Pro's 2,400 minutes provide ample capacity, and the summary tools help prepare follow-up notes. Paying month to month costs $19.99, about 2.08 cents per actually used minute in this example. The annual plan can reduce the subscription component if the workload is stable throughout the year. Include the consultant's review time and any extra secure-storage requirements.
Research agency handling multilingual interviews
Suppose a research agency records 80 interviews averaging 75 minutes, for 6,000 source minutes or 100 hours a month. That aligns with the smallest advertised bulk package at $60 on monthly billing, but the agency must ask whether team access, per-file lengths, integrations and translation have the necessary entitlements. A single Pro account has only 2,400 included monthly minutes and cannot satisfy this example without another arrangement. Do not infer that a Team seat pool works identically to a bulk-hour package.
Sales department needing call analysis
A sales organization with five representatives processing 2,000 minutes per person monthly might nominally fit into Team's advertised 3,000 minutes per seat. At five paid seats the base list price is $150 monthly or $1,200 annually. The business case should be grounded in whether custom vocabulary, call analysis and managed access improve the team's follow-ups. It should not rely on an unsupported claim that the AI increases sales conversions or eliminates manager review.
Other costs that can change your bill
Sales tax, VAT, currency conversion, bank fees and app-store purchasing can cause your actual charge to differ from the published USD figure. The vendor FAQ says online purchases use credit cards and mobile purchases may use Apple App Store or Google Play. Verify accepted cards in your region; do not assume the web price and mobile checkout have identical tax handling or promotional rates. Annual contracts also create a cash-flow difference because the full fee is due upfront.
Operational costs can exceed the software fee. For a customer interview, someone still needs to secure recording permission, redact private facts, correct technical terms, check quotations, translate when necessary and approve what can be shared publicly. For a sales meeting, someone must verify promised dates before an auto-generated task is assigned. Budget those activities alongside subscription rates. A cheaper minute rate is not useful if poor source quality doubles correction time.
Developer integrations add another dimension. The official webhook reference documents callbacks when transcription jobs finish, but API authorization, rate limits and plan eligibility should be confirmed separately. Building a secure ingestion pipeline may require engineering and monitoring even if the underlying transcription allowance is inexpensive. An enterprise buyer should request an itemized quote covering integrations, security, support, extra usage and any data processing agreements.
Transkriptor pricing versus competitors
Otter offers a free Basic tier with 300 monthly minutes and paid meeting-focused workflows; its Pro prices and imported-file limits differ from Transkriptor. Fireflies publishes a free meeting-notes tier with limited storage and AI summaries, plus Pro at $10 per seat monthly equivalent on annual billing. Notta advertises 120 free monthly minutes and a Pro annual equivalent of $8.17/month for 1,800 minutes. Fathom emphasizes unrestricted basic meeting transcriptions on Free. These minute and storage units are not directly comparable.
Descript uses media hours and AI credits to support transcription plus audio/video editing; its Hobbyist plan lists 10 media hours per month at $16 annual equivalent or $24 monthly. If the main objective is publishing polished podcast clips, editor functionality may matter more than Transkriptor's lower nominal speech-to-text subscription. Compare deliverables, recording modes, languages, permission model and annual total, not only the cheapest headline subscription.
Can you cancel a Transkriptor subscription?
The vendor pricing FAQ says subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled. It gives a path through account settings, General, Billing and Change Plan, then selecting the Free – 90 Minutes option to confirm cancellation. That demonstrates a published cancellation process but does not establish every platform's refund or proration conditions. Purchases through mobile stores may be managed under their own subscription rules. Retain confirmation of cancellation and check the next scheduled renewal date, particularly for annual plans.
How to choose the right plan
Start with three numbers: expected source minutes per month, the number of people who need paid access and the number of months you will actually use the service. Then list must-have features such as AI summaries, subtitle export, vocabulary, API access or managed team permissions. Compare effective fees using your expected used minutes, not the maximum advertised allocation. Include a correction-time target and require a small authorized transcription trial on representative language and recording conditions.
Choose Lite if you need fewer than 300 minutes regularly and basic editing/export are sufficient. Choose Pro if you exceed Lite's allowance or need AI notes and knowledge-base features. Choose Team for collaboration, vocabulary, analytics and centralized management. Investigate bulk for thousands of regular monthly minutes, but verify feature parity and operational restrictions first. Negotiate custom terms when formal security commitments or unusually large workflows are required.
Transkriptor pricing mistakes to avoid
Confusing annual equivalents with monthly payments
Pro's $8.33/month display corresponds to a $99.99 annual bill, not an option to buy a single month for $8.33. Team's $20 per seat monthly equivalent corresponds to $240 per seat charged annually. Record the actual amount and renewal date in your budget. Avoid extending discounted terms into future renewal years without checking the current order details.
Assuming unused minutes roll over
The official policy says unused subscription minutes expire after one month. For seasonal workloads, a month-to-month plan may cost more in active months while preserving the ability to stop paying in quiet months. A calendar-quarter average can conceal peak periods, so size the plan to the real billing-cycle demand and identify exceptional projects separately.
Equating all hour and minute products
Pro minutes, Team per-seat minutes and bulk hours sit in different parts of the pricing page. The page does not prove that their admin, summarization, API and sharing entitlements are identical. A fair comparison needs written details on what is included. It also needs to separate raw transcript minutes from translation operations, storage and meeting-recording behavior.
Ignoring consent, review and security
Automating a recording without a visible participant bot does not remove legal or policy duties. Anyone handling regulated or confidential calls should verify consent, retention, access controls and the vendor's data processing terms before uploading files. A pricing quote without these checks is not a complete business case for the software.
Final verdict on Transkriptor cost
Transkriptor's public self-service pricing is unusually easy to translate into minutes: Lite 300, Pro 2,400 and Team 3,000 per seat per month. The annual Pro deal is financially attractive for sustained users, while bulk-hour packages may work for high-volume processing. The decisive caveats are the non-recurring free evaluation, the expiry of unused minutes, and the fact that advanced collaboration and analytics are separate from basic transcription. Select based on usage history and necessary features, then verify checkout and privacy conditions before payment.
