About Asset Panda
Asset Panda is a configurable cloud asset management platform for tracking equipment, IT devices, tools, vehicles and other physical items across offices, schools, warehouses and field operations. Teams maintain records of ownership, location, condition and maintenance, assign assets to people, document inspections and identify equipment that requires repair or return. Asset Panda also markets industry workflows for education, government, healthcare, facilities and manufacturing. Its central proposition is an asset record system that business staff can update from a browser or mobile device, with custom forms and permissions that reflect local procedures. It is not limited to IT hardware, although integrations with device management and service-desk software make it a relevant IT asset management option. The vendor's current FAQ states that Asset Panda does not use traditional per-seat pricing and supports unlimited users. Instead, price depends on the number and types of managed assets or records, capabilities, integrations, security and support requirements. Asset Panda recommends a custom quote for enterprises, public-sector organizations and teams with complex multi-site deployments. A vendor resource article names a $3,000/year Starter example and a $7,500/year Business+ example, but that same page describes user-based pricing in a way that conflicts with the newer FAQ's explicit unlimited-user, asset-oriented approach. Those article amounts should be treated as unverified marketing references, not a current guaranteed self-service checkout offer. For this Toollers profile, paid plan amounts remain quote-based until a buyer obtains an up-to-date order form. The company offers a guided seven-day free trial after a personalized demo; certain markets may have other free options, but the FAQ does not establish a universal permanent free plan for the full platform. Asset Panda's mobile application for iOS and Android can scan common barcodes and QR codes using the device camera, open the matching asset record and run authorized check-in, check-out or audit operations. Supported offline workflows allow staff to download records before visiting a location without connectivity, capture inspection or inventory updates while disconnected and synchronize changes when back online. This is valuable for large buildings, storage rooms, campuses, fleet yards and facilities with poor mobile coverage. Offline operation is not instantaneous multi-user synchronization: records captured by other staff will only reflect those changes after all devices reconnect and successfully sync. Buyers should test collision handling and permissions during a pilot, especially where several employees may update the same item. Administrators configure collections, custom fields, forms, rules, notifications, workflow automations and access roles to mirror business processes. These can represent equipment assignment, return, scheduled preventive maintenance, corrective repairs, calibration, inspections, chain-of-custody and disposal. Reports and change histories support internal audits and help teams reconstruct who changed an asset record or performed an inspection. The company also promotes Ursa AI, an assistant embedded into the product that can help users search records, work with attached files and streamline selected workflows. AI-assisted inspections and help-desk processes may be available depending on the subscribed plan and usage allowance. Ursa AI should not be assumed to replace factual verification or statutory compliance assessments; managers remain responsible for confirming inspection outcomes and permission scope. Asset Panda lists integrations with Microsoft Intune, Jamf Pro, Microsoft Entra ID, ServiceNow, Zendesk, Freshservice, QuickBooks and other systems. The IT asset use case is strongest when a company wants asset records linked with endpoint identity, MDM inventories and service tickets, but the exact synchronization direction, field mapping, refresh interval and plan entitlement require checking. For example, linking a device management system may populate serial number, model and assigned user, while Asset Panda adds physical inspections and chain-of-custody notes. The vendor says its service runs on AWS, encrypts data at rest and in transit, and maintains access controls and a SOC 2 Type II examination. Those statements support a security review but do not establish that every configured customer account automatically complies with a particular industry rule. The platform is an attractive fit for organizations with many assets and many occasional staff who need to scan, inspect or return them. The unlimited-user licensing approach can reduce friction compared with products that charge each employee who opens a record, especially in schools and distributed facilities. However, buyers must evaluate how asset volumes grow, whether AI and integrations have separate usage caps, and how much setup is required to translate their procedures into configurable workflows. Asset Panda is more about tracking, auditing and managing an equipment lifecycle than replacing a full ITSM incident system or RMM monitoring agent. Toollers has not performed an offline conflict test, security audit or quote negotiation. Our assessment is based on current vendor pages, with public price uncertainty retained rather than filled by outdated third-party figures.
