Keeper
Store passwords and passkeys in encrypted vaults, share credentials securely, and enforce access policies for teams.
Personal vaults, business shared folders, MFA, passkeys, team administration, enterprise provisioning and security extras provide broad coverage.
Autofill and cross-device use on paid tiers are mature; migration, master credential handling and business policies require care.
Business seat ladder is accessible but dynamic prices/add-ons and the heavily restricted Free tier complicate comparisons.
Vendor documents client-side encryption and enterprise control layers, but independent security testing is outside this desk review.

About Keeper
Keeper is a password and passkey management platform from Keeper Security that supports personal vaults, family sharing and organization-wide credential administration. Individuals can save logins, payment details and sensitive records; browser extensions and apps autofill credentials and sync them across supported devices. Business administrators can provision users, enforce password and multifactor authentication policies, audit risks and administer shared folders and delegated access. Keeper describes its design as zero-knowledge and zero-trust, with record-level encryption performed on clients and a vendor-operated encrypted service. Those architectural claims are documented by the vendor but have not been independently audited by Toollers. The company's current help center distinguishes a 30-day consumer trial from a limited ongoing Free tier: after trial expiry, Free can access only up to ten records on one mobile device and lacks browser extensions, cross-device sync, record sharing and web-vault access. It is therefore a poor long-term alternative to a full cross-device paid plan. Official April 2026 Keeper help lists Unlimited consumer at $42.99 per year and Family at $91.99 annually, equivalent to approximately $3.58 and $7.67 per month respectively, but checkout may change by jurisdiction and tax. The current business page offers Business Starter for small teams of five to ten seats, Business for shared folders and delegated management, and Enterprise for SCIM, SAML SSO and advanced role rules. Keeper's own July 2026 business comparison cites annual equivalents of $2/seat/month for Business Starter, $3.75 for Business and $5 for Enterprise. Because the dynamic vendor checkout currently does not render numeric seat prices in public page text, those figures are marked as published historical vendor rates and must be verified before purchase; Enterprise may require a sales quote. The vendor provides a 14-day business trial without a card. Dark-web BreachWatch monitoring, extra encrypted storage, privileged access and Secrets Manager products may involve additional purchases. Keeper's consumer help warns that subscriptions are normally non-refundable and that canceling via account deletion irreversibly removes the vault; business customers should instead contact an account manager for licensing changes. Crucially, lost master credentials and recovery settings can affect access even when vault encryption is functioning as designed. Organizations should pilot imports, recovery, SCIM and emergency-access policies before rollout. The matched G2 Keeper Business Password Manager page showed 4.6/5 from 1,249 reviews updated Nov 2, 2026; Capterra's Keeper Business Password Manager displayed 4.7/5 from 509 reviews on Nov 1. Neither is Toollers' editorial score. No vault import, penetration test, cryptographic review or real migration was performed.
Best for
Individuals managing many logins and IT/security teams that need business vault sharing, enforced MFA, provisioning and credential audits.
Keeper pros and cons
Pros
- Keeper supports encrypted password and passkey records across common browsers and device systems on paid plans.
- Granular team sharing and an admin console support managed credential access.
- Keeper Business and Enterprise add organizational permissions and provisioning policies.
- Official 30-day consumer and 14-day business trials allow evaluation before subscribing.
- Security documentation covers MFA, zero-knowledge design, record encryption and external compliance certifications.
- Secure sharing, emergency options and password generation reduce ad-hoc credential exchanges.
Cons
- −The ongoing Free tier supports only ten records on one mobile device and cannot sync, share or use extensions.
- −Business and Enterprise pricing can depend on seat quantities, sales quotes and regional checkout.
- −BreachWatch, secure storage or privileged access may add separate subscriptions.
- −Enterprise SSO/SCIM and advanced role controls are not included in basic plans.
- −Business imports, policy administration and recovery procedures require IT setup.
- −Consumer subscriptions are generally non-refundable; accidental account deletion destroys vault contents.
- −A forgotten master credential or missing recovery setup can make account recovery difficult.
