Boei pricing currently starts at $25 per month on monthly billing or a $19 monthly equivalent when Starter is paid annually at $228 per year. Growth is $69 monthly or $49 monthly equivalent annually, Business is $179 or $129, and Scale is $309 or $229. There is no permanent free plan on the current main pricing page; instead, Boei offers a 7-day free trial with all features unlocked and no credit card required. The real cost depends on AI-response volume, number of domains, chatbots, human agents, branding requirements and whether you need API/webhooks or procurement-grade controls.

Quick verdict

Boei's pricing is unusually transparent for an AI chat product: four public plans, explicit annual totals, AI-credit allowances, human-agent counts and published add-ons. Starter is affordable for one site, but Growth becomes the practical floor if you need API/webhooks, multiple domains or deal-pipeline functionality.

Key takeaways

  • Starter: $25 monthly or $19 monthly equivalent billed at $228 yearly
  • Growth: $69 monthly or $49 monthly equivalent and adds 3 domains, API, webhooks and deal pipeline
  • Business and Scale target agencies and procurement-heavy deployments; add-on costs and a current extra-domain price discrepancy should be checked before purchase

How Boei pricing works

Boei's paid model has four plans: Starter, Growth, Business and Scale. The plans scale across several dimensions at once rather than a single seat or contact number. Those dimensions include domains, chatbots, AI credits, training pages, product-training capacity, AI actions per bot and human live-chat seats. Higher tiers also unlock operational features such as auto retraining, deal pipeline, API/webhooks, white-labeling and compliance-oriented support.

This matters because “how many chats do we have?” is not enough to choose a plan. A small site with heavy AI use could exhaust credits before it outgrows one domain. An agency with low conversation volume might still need Business because it requires ten domains and white-labeling. A company with legal/procurement requirements might need Scale even if its raw chat volume would fit Business.

Boei currently lists unlimited contacts per month across all four public plans. Human live-chat messages are also unlimited in the sense that they do not consume AI credits. AI replies do consume credits, so the automated conversation volume should be forecast separately from human support volume.

Scale$309 per month$229 per month billed at $2,748 per yearBusiness capacity plus procurement features25,000 AI credits, 7 agents, custom DPA, 99.5% SLA

Starter: $25 monthly or $19 monthly equivalent annually

Starter is designed for one site. It includes one domain, one chatbot, 2,000 AI credits per month, up to 1,000 training pages, training for 50 products, email and WhatsApp chatbot connectivity, lead collectors, source-gap detection and five AI actions per bot. Boei's FAQ also lists one included human live-chat agent.

The annual price is not merely described as a percentage discount: Boei publishes the actual total of $228 per year. Dividing that total by 12 gives the stated $19 monthly equivalent. A buyer comparing annual and monthly Starter can therefore compare $300 for twelve separate $25 monthly payments against $228 prepaid for the year, before VAT and add-ons.

Starter's main boundary is automation depth. The current developer page says REST API access is available on Growth, Business and Scale. The pricing table also lists webhooks from Growth. If the business needs custom programmatic access, outbound workflow events or the deal pipeline, Starter is likely to be too limited even if one domain and 2,000 AI credits are sufficient.

Growth: $69 monthly or $49 monthly equivalent annually

Growth expands to three domains and three chatbots, 7,000 AI credits per month, 3,500 training pages, 500 products, ten AI actions per bot and three human agents. It adds auto retraining, tagging, ticket training, AI summaries on handover, the deal pipeline, API access and webhooks.

The annual total is $588, compared with $828 for twelve months at the $69 monthly rate. That is a $240 difference before VAT if the customer keeps the same plan for a full year. Growth is therefore the most important tier to scrutinize for teams that want Boei to participate in a wider business workflow rather than operate as a self-contained website assistant.

Business: $179 monthly or $129 monthly equivalent annually

Business is the agency and higher-volume plan. It supports ten domains and ten chatbots, 20,000 AI credits per month, 10,000 training pages, unlimited product training, fifteen AI actions per bot and five human agents. It also adds a custom domain, white-label capability and default branding removal.

Annual billing is $1,548, compared with $2,148 for twelve months at $179. The headline saving is substantial, but an agency should first model how many client sites are actually ready to launch. Boei itself advises smaller agencies with one or two clients that Starter or Growth can be sensible until white-label and multi-site needs justify Business.

Scale: $309 monthly or $229 monthly equivalent annually

Scale is positioned around procurement and service commitments rather than simply more websites. It includes the Business feature set, 25,000 AI credits, 15,000 training pages, twenty AI actions per bot and seven human agents. It adds a custom DPA, 99.5% uptime SLA, priority support, dedicated 60-minute onboarding and a quarterly review call.

The annual total is $2,748, versus $3,708 for twelve months at $309. Scale is the plan to evaluate when legal, procurement or service-assurance requirements drive the purchase. It should not be assumed to solve every regulated use case: Boei's compliance page explicitly says it does not hold HIPAA certification and does not sign BAAs at standard tiers.

True-cost scenarios

Scenario 1: one small website on Starter

A business with one domain, one chatbot, one human agent and fewer than 2,000 AI replies per month can stay within Starter's published base limits. Monthly billing is $25, or $300 over twelve months if the price remains unchanged. Annual billing is $228 prepaid, a difference of $72 for the year before VAT.

Scenario 2: Growth with one extra live agent

Growth includes three human agents. If a four-person team needs one additional seat, the current add-on is $9 per month on monthly billing. That brings the monthly plan-plus-seat amount to $78 before VAT. On annual billing, Growth is $49 monthly equivalent and the extra-agent add-on is listed at a $6 monthly equivalent, producing a $55 monthly equivalent or $660 over a full year if both annual rates apply throughout the term.

Scenario 3: Starter with additional AI capacity

Suppose Starter's 2,000 monthly AI credits are not enough and the team needs one extra pack of 1,000 credits. The current monthly add-on is $9. A Starter customer on monthly billing would therefore pay $34 per month before VAT for the base plan plus that additional AI pack. If recurring usage consistently exceeds Starter's allowance, compare this against Growth rather than automatically stacking add-ons indefinitely.

Scenario 4: agency using Business annually

Business is $1,548 per year and includes ten domains, ten chatbots, five human agents, white-labeling and branding removal. If an agency actively uses all ten included domains, the base subscription averages $154.80 per active domain per year before VAT, not including staff time, SMS, extra agents or other add-ons. The figure is only useful when those ten sites are genuinely being served; unused capacity reduces the effective value.

Free trial and what happens afterward

Boei's current trial lasts seven days, unlocks all features and does not require a credit card. This is useful because buyers can train a real chatbot and explore the application without creating a payment-renewal risk at signup. Boei says an account that is not upgraded stays active in read-only mode, preserving the setup rather than deleting it immediately.

A permanent free production plan is not listed. That makes the trial a product-evaluation path, not a long-term free tier. Teams comparing Boei with Tidio or Gist should account for that difference because both alternatives currently offer permanent free live-chat options.

Add-ons and extra capacity

The current add-ons table lists an extra chatbot at $9 monthly or $6 monthly equivalent annually, an extra human live agent at the same $9/$6 pricing, and an extra 1,000 AI credits at $9/$6. Branding removal costs $14 per month where it is not included, and 100 SMS credits cost $10.

Extra domains require special attention because Boei's own current page gives two amounts. The add-ons table says $14 per month or a $9 monthly equivalent annually. A FAQ on the same page says extra domains are $15 per month. Growth already includes three domains, while Business and Scale include ten. If an additional domain is the reason for an upgrade or add-on decision, verify the live checkout amount instead of budgeting from one of the conflicting lines.

AI credits and overage behavior

Boei says every AI-generated response uses one credit and credits reset at the start of each calendar month. When the allowance is exhausted, the AI chatbot stops replying automatically; the website widget and human live chat continue. This is operationally different from an automatic overage charge because the customer can choose to buy an extra pack or upgrade.

The safest capacity estimate is therefore based on actual expected AI replies, not total conversations. A short conversation with three AI responses can consume three credits. A team with seasonal traffic should also consider whether temporary credit packs are more economical than moving permanently to a larger plan.

Upgrades and downgrades

The pricing FAQ says upgrades take effect immediately with a prorated charge for the remainder of the current billing period. Downgrades take effect at the next renewal, so the customer retains the current plan features until that date. That is a relatively conventional SaaS approach and gives the team flexibility to expand during a billing cycle.

Cancellation and refund terms

This is the area where buyers should read both the pricing page and formal terms. The pricing FAQ says there are no contracts or commitments, cancellation can be completed with one click and access continues through the end of the billing period. The April 2026 Terms and Conditions, however, describe definite-period agreements that renew for the originally agreed term unless terminated in writing with one month's notice, and they say paid subscription fees are not refunded after premature termination.

Those statements may apply to different commercial contexts—for example self-service subscriptions versus separately negotiated agreements—but the public pages do not fully explain the distinction. Monthly self-service buyers should retain the cancellation confirmation. Annual, Business, Scale and custom-contract buyers should make sure the written agreement states the renewal date, notice process and refund treatment they expect.

VAT, payment methods and regional considerations

Boei says prices exclude VAT. The pricing FAQ currently lists credit cards, PayPal and IBAN bank transfers, with invoicing by bank transfer available by arrangement. International buyers should confirm tax treatment and invoice requirements before approving an annual purchase.

Which Boei plan fits which buyer?

Who should use this

  • Starter fits one-site businesses that need AI chat, lead capture and one human agent without API/webhooks
  • Growth fits teams needing multiple sites, more AI capacity, three agents, deal pipeline, API access and webhooks
  • Business fits agencies that need ten domains/chatbots, white-labeling and branding removal
  • Scale fits organizations whose main reason to upgrade is procurement support, a custom DPA, SLA and higher-touch onboarding

Who should avoid this

  • Starter is a poor fit when API, webhooks or multi-domain automation are required
  • Business is poor value if an agency is not yet using enough client sites to justify its bundled capacity
  • Scale should not be purchased solely for volume because its premium is primarily tied to compliance and service commitments
  • Annual billing is a poor fit if contract/cancellation terms have not been confirmed in writing

Pricing pros and cons

Pros

  • Four public plans with both monthly and annual-equivalent prices
  • Annual totals are explicitly published rather than hidden behind a percentage claim
  • AI credits, training limits, chatbots, domains and agent seats are clearly enumerated
  • Trial requires no credit card and preserves the setup in read-only mode afterward
  • Most common add-ons have numeric prices

Cons

  • No permanent free plan is listed
  • Advanced automation and API/webhooks require Growth or higher
  • Extra AI, agent, chatbot, SMS or domain capacity can materially raise total cost
  • Extra-domain pricing conflicts within the current pricing page
  • Formal cancellation/refund language is more restrictive than the self-service FAQ appears to be

Value compared with LiveChat, Tidio and Gist

Boei Starter and LiveChat Starter share the same current headline annual equivalent of $19 per month, but the billing units are different. LiveChat charges per user, while Boei Starter is a plan that includes one domain, one chatbot and one human agent plus AI and multichannel features. A team adding several LiveChat users will therefore see cost scale differently.

Tidio has a permanent Free plan and a Starter plan at $24.17 per month on annual billing, while its cost model scales around billable conversations, AI and Flows usage. That can be attractive for buyers that want to start free, but it introduces more usage dimensions to forecast. Gist also offers a Free support tier and starts Support Professional at $29 per month with five support seats, while its broader product can combine support and marketing.

None of those structures is automatically cheaper. Boei becomes compelling when its AI credits, included agents, domains and many contact channels match the business. LiveChat becomes more compelling for a mature human-agent support operation, Tidio for an AI/help-desk stack with a permanent free path, and Gist when marketing and support consolidation is valuable.

Expert tip

Before choosing annual billing, estimate AI replies, active domains, required human agents and whether API/webhooks are mandatory. Price the smallest plan that supports the workflow, add the expected capacity packs, then compare that annual total with the next plan up.

Pricing methodology and unresolved issues

We checked Boei's live pricing page, developer documentation and April 2026 Terms and Conditions on October 2, 2026. We did not purchase a subscription or complete a private checkout. All numeric plan and add-on figures in this guide come from the current public pricing page.

Two unresolved conflicts are documented rather than guessed away. Extra-domain pricing is $14 in the add-ons table but $15 in the pricing FAQ. The pricing FAQ also describes simple one-click cancellation, while formal terms use fixed-period renewal and written-notice language. Buyers should resolve those points in the order form or checkout terms that actually govern the purchase.
