LiveChat Pricing 2026: Plans, Per-User Costs and Fees
LiveChat costs $25/$19 Starter, $59/$49 Team and $89/$79 Business per user monthly/annual. Compare seats, trial, API costs and refunds.

LiveChat's current pricing is straightforward at the base-plan level but can become expensive when a team grows. Starter is $25 per user per month on monthly billing or $19 per user per month billed annually. Team is $59/$49, Business is $89/$79 and Enterprise is custom-priced. The key phrase is “per user”: LiveChat bills every active agent/user account, whether the person is currently logged in or not. That means the difference between a three-agent and a thirty-agent deployment is far more important than the difference between monthly and annual billing. Marketplace apps, API request packages, external messaging-provider fees and specialized reporting can also add to the real cost.

How LiveChat bills users
LiveChat charges for every active user account created on the license. The company's current pricing FAQ explicitly says the account is billed whether the user is logged in or not.
This makes seat governance important. A manager who creates accounts for employees who answer only a few chats a month still pays the full per-user plan cost for those accounts.
Starter's current public plan card lists one user. Team and Business support larger teams, but each active account is still billable. Enterprise terms are custom.
Starter: $25 monthly or $19 billed annually
Starter is positioned for a small business. It currently includes one user, detailed tracking for up to 100 visitors, one recurring campaign, 60-day chat history, basic widget customization and 24/7/365 support.
Starter also includes current Text Intelligence features from the common product layer, but the plan is intentionally restricted for team operations. Businesses needing multiple active agents should model Team rather than assume they can simply add more users to the same one-seat Starter setup.
At $19 per month equivalent, one annually billed Starter user costs $228 across twelve months. Monthly billing costs $300 across twelve months if the plan remains active for a full year.
Team: $59 monthly or $49 billed annually
Team is the practical baseline for a dedicated support or sales team. It currently increases detailed visitor tracking to 400, removes campaign/history limits, unlocks full widget customization and adds basic reporting.
The public plan page describes unlimited user accounts, but each active user is charged. A five-user Team deployment on annual billing is therefore $245 per month equivalent, or $2,940 across twelve months. On monthly billing, five users cost $295 per month.
Team is often the right balance when a business needs normal team collaboration but does not require workforce scheduling or advanced reporting.
Business: $89 monthly or $79 billed annually
Business is aimed at customer-service departments. It increases detailed visitor tracking to 1,000 and adds work scheduler, staffing prediction, on-demand reporting, advanced reporting and agent-performance tools.
The current public pricing page also lists SMS and Apple Messages for Business in the Business-level feature summary.
A ten-user Business plan on annual billing is $790 per month equivalent, or $9,480 over twelve months. This is why the $79 headline should never be quoted without the per-user qualifier.
Enterprise: custom pricing
Enterprise pricing is quote-based. The current plan page includes custom tracking limits, support from a Product Expert, dedicated onboarding, white-label chat widget, software-engineer support, SSO, HIPAA support, alternative payment terms, professional services and SLAs.
Enterprise is the appropriate procurement route for businesses that need contractual, legal, security or implementation requirements that go beyond the self-serve tiers.
Annual billing discount
LiveChat's current plan guide says annual billing provides a 15% discount compared with monthly billing.
The displayed price differences are $6 per user/month on Starter, $10 on Team and $10 on Business. For large teams, the annual commitment produces a meaningful absolute saving—but it also increases prepaid exposure under a no-refund policy.
A buyer should therefore validate agent count, reporting needs and key integrations during the free trial before committing annually.
14-day free trial
LiveChat provides a 14-day free trial without requiring a credit card. The trial is fully functional and current FAQ documentation says trial features broadly parallel Team.
Up to 100 agents can be added to the trial according to the current FAQ. LiveChat support can also help a customer test another plan configuration.
This makes the trial suitable for a real pilot: invite the actual users, route conversations, connect integrations and generate reports.
No permanent free plan
LiveChat does not currently provide a permanent free production plan. After the trial, the account needs a paid LiveChat subscription if the organization wants to continue using the service.
Buyers that require a long-term free tier should compare Tidio or Gist in the current Toollers catalog.
AI and automation costs
LiveChat's current pricing page includes Text Intelligence across its plans and markets the Text AI Agent alongside LiveChat. Current AI tools include Copilot, reply suggestions, chat summaries, text enhancement, tagging assistance and sentiment analysis.
The public page says the Text AI Agent can answer routine questions and perform human handoff. Custom AI skills are also marketed from $19/user/month in the current Text layer.
Because LiveChat/Text is actively evolving, a buyer should confirm which AI functionality is bundled with the chosen LiveChat plan and which capabilities create separate Text-product or usage charges.
Marketplace costs
The LiveChat Marketplace contains more than 200 integrations. Many are free to install, but paid apps exist.
Current examples include specialized reporting apps around $7 per month, AI utilities in the $5–$6 range and paid developer/API packages. External services such as SMS, WhatsApp or third-party SaaS products can also charge their own fees.
The Marketplace is a major product strength, but it means the final budget can differ from the base seat calculation.
API request packages
Private or higher-volume API usage is not necessarily covered by the standard subscription. LiveChat's current Marketplace lists an Essential API requests package at $29.99 per month per license for 100,000 requests.
A Pro package is $149.99 per month for 500,000 requests. Pro+ is also $149.99 for the same monthly request quantity and includes a one-time one-hour consultation with a Text API specialist.
Requests above included package volume can continue and be billed at standard overage rates. Teams building custom customer-data synchronization should therefore estimate actual API traffic.
Channel-related costs
Facebook Messenger is currently a free Marketplace integration. WhatsApp Business, SMS, Instagram, X/Twitter and other channels can require separate provider or platform terms.
Do not assume the LiveChat subscription absorbs WhatsApp conversation charges, SMS carrier/provider fees or unrelated SaaS subscription costs.
True-cost scenarios
Scenario 1: one small-business agent
Starter annual billing is $228 per year for the one-user plan. This is the simplest LiveChat deployment and can be competitive for a single person handling website conversations.
Scenario 2: five-person support team on Team
Five Team users at the $49 annual-billing equivalent cost $245 per month, or $2,940 across a year. A $29.99 API package would raise the software baseline to roughly $274.99 per month before other paid apps.
Scenario 3: ten-person customer-service department on Business
Ten Business users at $79 cost $790 per month equivalent on annual billing. If the organization also uses paid reporting/API apps and external messaging channels, annual total ownership can exceed the simple $9,480 seat calculation.
Scenario 4: twenty-person Team deployment
Twenty Team users on annual billing cost $980 per month equivalent. This is the point where comparing usage/conversation-based competitors becomes particularly important because LiveChat's cost rises linearly with seats.
Starter versus Team
Starter is best treated as a one-user entry plan. Team is the meaningful upgrade when a business needs multiple users, unlimited chat history, unlimited recurring campaigns, full widget customization and normal reporting.
A buyer should not choose Starter based only on the $19 annual headline if it already knows several employees will answer chats.
Team versus Business
Business is justified by management and analytics: work schedules, staffing prediction, advanced/on-demand reporting and agent-performance tools.
If those functions are not used, the $30 annual-equivalent difference per user between Team and Business can become substantial across a large department.
Cancellation
LiveChat subscriptions can be cancelled at any time through the billing workflow with support assistance. After cancellation, service remains active through the current paid period and does not renew.
Organizations should retain cancellation confirmation, especially when multiple administrators can manage subscription settings.
Refunds
LiveChat's current subscription policy is strict: already processed payments are not refundable. This applies even when the customer cancels shortly after a charge or does not actively use the service.
That policy makes the free trial and annual-billing decision especially important. Annual savings are real, but so is the larger prepaid commitment.
Which LiveChat plan fits which buyer?
Who should use this
- Starter fits a one-agent small business with basic chat needs
- Team fits SMB support/sales teams that need multiple agents, unlimited history/campaigns and standard reporting
- Business fits structured customer-service departments that need workforce scheduling and advanced reporting
- Enterprise fits regulated or global organizations requiring SSO, BAA/HIPAA support, white-labeling, SLAs and dedicated implementation
Who should avoid this
- Do not choose Starter if multiple agents are required
- Do not choose Business only for higher visitor tracking if advanced management/reporting will remain unused
- Annual billing should not be purchased until seat count and integrations are validated because processed payments are non-refundable
- Teams with many occasional agents should compare conversation-based pricing models
