Octa GST Pricing: Standard vs Premium Plans and Costs
Octa GST Standard costs ₹25,000 a year; Premium is quote-based. Compare GSTIN limits, invoice caps, modules, refund terms and hidden cost questions.

Octa GST advertises Standard at ₹25,000 per year and Premium at a custom negotiated rate. The annual Standard subscription lists 3,000 sales and 3,000 purchase invoices, regular and composition GST compliance, basic reporting, spreadsheet import and standard support. Premium adds multiple PANs and GSTINs, greater invoice scale, e-invoicing, e-waybills, SEZ, ISD, GST TDS and advanced integrations. The public plan card states one GSTIN for Standard, yet the comparison table says fewer than five; that inconsistency must be resolved before purchase. This guide explains verified prices, excluded features, risks and questions to ask sales.

Official Octa GST pricing plans
| Plan | Billing and amount | Published volume | Scope |
|---|---|---|---|
| Standard | ₹25,000/year | 3,000 sales and 3,000 purchase invoices annually | Basic regular/composition GST; GSTIN conflict noted |
| Premium | Custom sales quote | Scalable, contract-dependent | Multiple PAN/GSTIN, specialized compliance, API/ERP options |
Only Standard has a publicly fixed amount. A twelve-month allocation of ₹25,000 equals approximately ₹2,083.33 a month, but that is not an advertised monthly billing option. The pricing page lists a question about monthly and quarterly subscriptions without showing an affirmative answer. It also asks whether GST is included in the amount, again without a visible answer. We recommend requesting a written total including applicable taxes, implementation, additional modules and renewal obligations. Avoid presenting the arithmetic monthly equivalent as a customer-facing monthly subscription.
The main inconsistency is GSTIN capacity. In the prominent Standard card the vendor explicitly says one GSTIN. A comparison row farther down says Standard includes fewer than five. That could reflect a stale table or a different bundle, but we cannot determine which. A multi-state business should not assume four included registrations from the row. Use one as the conservative budgeting basis and ask sales to state the GSTIN count, associated PANs and any additional-registration fee in the purchase order. Premium advertises multiple registrations and PANs, but the exact quote must still define them.
Standard: what the ₹25,000 annual price includes
Invoice volume and supported records
The Standard offer shows a 3,000-document allowance for sales and a separate 3,000-document allowance for purchases during each year. A firm averaging 250 sales invoices and 250 purchase invoices monthly would fit these headline numbers if its volumes stayed consistent and the vendor counted documents as expected. Many organizations have seasonal peaks, debit notes, credit notes, amended invoices and discarded uploads, however. The website does not set out in its visible table whether all these consume a document allowance or what an excess document costs.
Request written treatment of annual cap overage, carryforward and peak-period usage. The distinction matters to companies that process few sales invoices but thousands of purchase bills, as well as organizations that grow halfway through the subscription term.
Basic compliance and reporting
We would request a tier-specific checklist to learn exactly which GSTR-2B and IMS functions are enabled on Standard, because the pricing comparison does not describe every individual action. A business may reasonably expect basic compliance, yet important steps such as portal action push should be shown during a sales demonstration.
A low-complexity company with one GSTIN and clean books may need nothing beyond routine reconciliation and return preparation. Its project effort would then concentrate on mapping spreadsheet columns correctly, training one or two employees and saving filing evidence. Still, even a simple exporter can contain mistakes in tax rates, place of supply, invoice dates and customer registration details.
What Standard expressly excludes
The published plan matrix marks e-invoicing, e-waybills, SEZ unit and developer processes, ISD compliance, and GST TDS as Premium-only. It also excludes supplier compliance tracking, automated supplier emails, notice tracking, GST ledgers, custom ERP connections, ERP-ledger reconciliation, API integrations and custom e-invoice PDF formats. These exclusions matter because the main Octa GST website promotes these capabilities as part of the broader product. A Standard buyer who requires an e-waybill cannot simply infer that the advertised one-click feature is included.
Create two columns before purchasing: mandatory workflows and optional improvements. If an excluded item is mandatory, ask sales for the appropriate Premium quote immediately rather than buying Standard with an expectation of a later free unlock. Also ask whether a change of plan during a term is supported, how remaining subscription value is handled and whether historic data remains intact. No definitive midterm upgrade price appears in the public table. The vendor’s nonrefund policy increases the cost of assuming the wrong tier.
Premium: the custom enterprise offer
Multi-PAN and multi-GSTIN operations
Premium is positioned for growing businesses and enterprises with multiple registrations. It advertises multiple PANs, multiple GSTINs, scalable invoice volumes and dedicated cloud resources. A finance group that operates in several states or maintains multiple legal entities may benefit from consolidated compliance administration, but the quote should specify exactly which entities are covered and which people can access each. A comparison cell saying unlimited GSTINs does not establish unlimited processing resources, transactions, retention or support.
Prepare a requirements sheet with all PANs, GSTINs, annual volumes, expected growth and the form types applicable to each. Ask the vendor whether a single contract covers every registration, and how additional entities are billed after go-live. If certain divisions are excluded, document their existing compliance process. An enterprise often values consolidated status visibility more than a slight license discount, but that value is realized only if users cannot accidentally post or submit actions for the wrong registration.
E-invoicing and e-waybills
Premium includes e-invoicing and e-waybill features in the published comparison. An organization should ask whether the fee includes document creation, relevant portal connectivity, rejection handling, corrections, historical fetches, API usage and vendor support. In a high-volume business, the cost of integrating sales records can exceed the recurring subscription fee. A demonstration should contain at least one rejected document and the required correction path. Do not assume the module makes all filings compliant without accurate source data, credentials and professional oversight.
The need for these functions depends on the company’s actual regulatory obligations, which can change. Octa GST’s feature page describes e-invoicing and e-waybills as related automation tools, while the plan comparison reserves them for Premium. Buyers should ask for tax-professional confirmation of the applicable requirements and a written vendor scope. If the company already generates e-invoices successfully through another ERP, it may need only reconciliation or data retrieval from Octa GST rather than duplicate document generation.
SEZ, ISD, TDS and notice-related tools
The Premium feature group includes SEZ, Input Service Distributor and GST TDS support. The product solution directory discusses GSTR-6 and GSTR-7 workflows and special handling of SEZ transactions. Premium also lists GST notice tracking and GST ledger access. These functions can reduce the number of portals and spreadsheets used by a complex tax team, but the business should confirm availability for its exact registration type. A product demo with only a regular GSTR-3B does not verify an ISD distribution sequence or specialized SEZ filing.
Ask for sample outputs, portal acknowledgements and an exception procedure for the specialized module. If the business must distribute ITC to several registered units, test allocation rules with qualified professional review. If notices are monitored, verify the alert channel, contact list, response tracking, archived evidence and actions taken when portal access fails. These details change the value of the subscription much more than a broad claim that it has advanced compliance.
ERP connectors, API and support costs
Premium advertises custom ERP connectors, API integrations, customization, priority support and an optional dedicated account manager. Likewise, custom connectors can require implementation fees, technical documentation, user acceptance testing and ongoing maintenance. A quote should identify supported ERP versions and whether it covers the mapping of refunds, credit notes, rounding, amendments and master records.
Ask the vendor to distinguish software license, initial onboarding, custom development, data migration, hosting capacity, API requests, support response time and renewals. Assign each line item to an owner and specify whether it is one-time or recurring. A fixed implementation proposal should include acceptance criteria and a backup plan if the interface cannot go live before a GST deadline. Without this information, comparing Premium to a ₹25,000 Standard subscription is little more than guesswork.
Side-by-side plan and feature chart
| Capability | Standard ₹25,000/year | Premium quote |
|---|---|---|
| Regular/composition filing | Included | Included |
| Invoice imports | Excel/CSV | Expanded and customized workflows |
| E-invoicing/e-waybills | Not included | Included |
| SEZ/ISD/GST TDS | Not included | Included |
| Supplier compliance and auto email | Not included | Included |
| GST notice tracking/ledgers | Not included | Included |
| ERP templates/connectors and API | Not included | Included |
| Support | Standard tickets | Priority; manager optionally |
The chart summarizes the public feature matrix and must not be confused with a complete contract. Some capabilities covered in the Octa GST user guide, such as individual IMS matching operations, are not broken out explicitly by Standard versus Premium in the pricing table. If IMS action push is essential, obtain confirmation that the desired plan includes it. Likewise, ask whether additional reports or historic periods incur a fee. Vendor feature names can stay constant while usage restrictions change, and the signed order should take precedence over assumptions made from a promotional page.
Multi-year budgeting: illustrative scenarios
Standard over one, two and three years
A single Standard year at the currently advertised base amount costs ₹25,000. At an unchanged annual rate, two years would total ₹50,000 and three would total ₹75,000 before tax, price changes or added services. These numbers are calculations, not a claim that Octa GST sells a discounted three-year contract. Its website asks whether a multi-year term is possible without providing a public answer. A buyer should obtain written pricing for the exact intended period and verify whether the invoice allowance renews annually.
There is also an opportunity cost to consider. Monthly reconciliation currently done manually may consume several staff hours, and a reliable specialist tool could reduce repetitive matching work. The saved labor, however, must be measured with the real team and actual transaction set. We did not conduct a stopwatch benchmark and cannot support a universal payback claim. Conversely, if the company has very few invoices and uses an accounting platform that already supports basic reconciliation, adding a separate annual product could duplicate capability.
Premium total cost of ownership
Model Premium as a bundle with software license, legal entities, GST registrations, invoice volume, specialized modules, API or GSP usage, ERP integration, migration, training and support. Record the annual rate, one-time setup fees and usage-based charges separately. Ask whether dedicated cloud resources have a capacity ceiling and what happens after an invoice-volume increase. In a large group, the biggest hidden cost can be internal cleanup and mapping rather than the vendor subscription.
When comparing a competitor, normalize the exact feature package. One vendor may bill per GSTIN while another may offer a combined enterprise quote. Some accounting platforms include bookkeeping that Octa GST does not. Some dedicated GST systems quote reconciliation and e-invoicing as separate modules. No fair comparison comes from dividing one platform’s all-in invoice by another’s entry-tier price. Compare the complete annual operational outcome, required legal compliance and migration risk.
Cancellation, auto-renewal and refund policy
Octa GST’s official cancellation and refund page says subscriptions are offered annually and cannot be canceled once purchased. It further states refunds are not issued after subscribing, and subscriptions do not automatically renew. These are the vendor’s published positions; applicable statutory consumer protections and a signed commercial agreement may alter enforceability in particular circumstances. Buyers should plan the fee as a committed annual expense. Do not assume access continues indefinitely after the term simply because no auto-renewal occurs.
The public pricing page lists questions about trials, demos, taxes, renewal, upgrades and monthly terms but does not surface the answers in the retrieved page text. The prudent approach is to ask sales for a demonstration and written terms before payment. The vendor’s legal terms discuss the limits of reliance on tax information, underscoring that a subscription is no substitute for professional review.

Expert tip
Which Octa GST plan is appropriate?
Standard is worth evaluating if there is one GST registration, limited invoice volume and no need for Premium-only specialized modules. Premium is the relevant route when the company requires e-invoicing, e-waybills, ISD, SEZ, TDS, several registrations or customized integrations. Neither is a substitute for a carefully defined GST process. Have an accountant verify return coverage and ask the vendor to run a representative sample in a controlled demonstration before signing an annual nonrefundable subscription.
We do not invent a vendor trial length, Premium price or hands-on review result. Rates and tax rules may change after the October 30, 2026 check; confirm the live checkout and governing contract.
