Adalo
Build database-driven web and native mobile apps from one visual canvas, with Ada AI assistance.
Native iOS/Android and web publishing, built-in database, Ada prompting, role-controlled data and action integrations cover a full MVP lifecycle.
The visual approach is accessible, but seven G2 and 25 Capterra reviews are limited; user accounts report source export or scalability concerns without fresh Toollers load tests.
Current Builder and Business subscriptions and annual totals are explicit, though app-store developer fees, AI credits and optional Builder features affect true cost.
Stripe, custom actions, Zapier and API/data connectors are available by tier; native source portability and security claims need direct validation.

About Adalo
Adalo is a no-code and AI-assisted application builder for founders and business teams creating database-driven apps for browsers, the Apple App Store and Google Play. Its visual canvas shows screens and navigation together, while the Ada assistant can generate app screens, data structures and user flows from plain-language instructions. Developers can still manually adjust components, database rules, actions and branding. A substantial October 21, 2026 product and pricing update replaced the older Starter/Professional/Team public lineup with Free, Builder and Business. Free lets teams prototype apps with 500 records per app and five AI prompts per month. Builder costs $65 monthly or $624 yearly ($52/month equivalent), supports two published apps and five editors, and adds store publishing, custom domains, push, Stripe and custom actions. A first-month $30 Builder offer is promotional, not the ongoing rate. Business costs $200 monthly or $1,920 yearly ($160/month equivalent) with five published apps, ten editors, unlimited instant updates and added analytics, API and external-database features. Adalo claims no action-based or per-seat billing, but paid AI credits and optional Builder monitoring/localization/analytics cost extra. Native app distribution also needs Apple and Google developer accounts. G2's exact Adalo listing is 4.4/5 from seven reviews and Capterra shows 3.5/5 from 25, both small samples. We have not built, published, load-tested or security-audited an Adalo app.
Best for
Nontechnical startup founders, MVP teams, independent app consultants and small organizations wanting a single low-code project for native mobile plus web publishing.
Adalo pros and cons
Pros
- A single visual project can be published to native iOS, Android and web rather than maintaining distinct frontends.
- Free plan supports unlimited test apps with 500 records per app and five Ada prompts a month.
- Ada can propose screens, databases and changes from natural-language requests alongside manual editing.
- Flat subscription pricing avoids Adalo-side per-action and per-seat metering for published apps.
- Builder explicitly includes five app editors, two published apps, Stripe, push, maps and custom actions.
- Business adds API/external-database options, analytics, localization and increased published-app limits.
Cons
- −Native store publishing requires Builder or higher and separate Apple/Google developer accounts.
- −Builder has only one instant update monthly; analytics, localization and crash monitoring are paid add-ons.
- −Free has 500 records per app and cannot be treated as an unrestricted production hosting plan.
- −Published pricing changed in October 2026; older $36 Starter and Professional comparisons are stale for new buyers.
- −Full app source-code export is not established; Business permits viewing Ada-generated code but that is not equivalent to transferring a full native codebase.
- −Very small G2 and Capterra review samples include concerns about speed, scale and vendor lock-in.
