About Aronium

Aronium is a Windows point-of-sale application for retail stores, cashiers and small shop operators. Aronium Lite is a free, indefinitely usable single-register edition with receipts, inventory, discounts, barcode support and reports. Aronium Pro adds multiple cash registers connected to a shared store database and priority support for a subscription fee. Optional paid plugins can extend order printing, price lists and reporting. It is oriented to Windows/local-store operations rather than a hosted mobile POS.

Best for

Independent retail stores, small shops and limited multi-register locations seeking low-cost offline Windows billing and stock tracking.

Aronium pros and cons

Pros

  • The official Lite version is free indefinitely without registration or license and supports a single cash register.
  • The Windows application works offline for ordinary POS activity; internet is only needed for dependent online plugins and updates.
  • Pro shares one store database across multiple Windows registers for a public $10/month per-store subscription.
  • Vendor documents barcode/weight barcode support, receipts, discounts, loyalty and inventory modules.
  • Plugin fees are itemized on the official download page, making some add-on costs more visible than broad custom quotes.

Cons

  • −No native Android POS is documented; older SoftwareSuggest feedback specifically flags the absence of Android support.
  • −Lite is limited to a single cash register; Pro needs paid network/database setup and has store-scoped licensing.
  • −Paid plugins such as price lists, kitchen print stations and email reports can increase monthly or annual spending.
  • −Store operators are responsible for database backups and testing restore; vendor documentation distinguishes Lite and Pro restore procedures.
  • −The only located SoftwareSuggest reviews are three from 2020, too stale to support current usability or support scoring.
