DocuSign
Electronic signatures, audit trails and agreement workflows with per-sender subscriptions and envelope allowances.
Strong core eSignature, audit trail, team and agreement workflow controls; advanced IAM adds further automation.
Common template and sender flows, mobile options and broad training; larger admin and integration workflows add complexity.
Official three-column pricing is clear but 100-envelope annual limits, add-ons, overages and commitment models increase cost complexity.
Broad office/CRM connectors and formal security/compliance resources, although no Toollers verification was carried out.

About DocuSign
Docusign is an electronic-signature and agreement-management platform used to prepare contracts, route them to signers, collect legally recognized eSignatures and keep a traceable document history. Its eSignature offering supports reusable templates, audit trails, reminders, sequential signing, mobile signing, and integrations with common business suites. Standard adds collaborative team templates, branding, delegated signing and commenting; Business Pro adds more advanced fields, web forms, payments during signing and richer workflow options. Docusign also sells separate Intelligent Agreement Management (IAM) plans, enterprise agreements and Developer API products. These are not interchangeable with the basic eSignature subscription and can have different signature-send allowances. Docusign’s October 2026 official pricing guide reports three Personal payment structures: $15/month month-to-month, $11/month under an annual agreement billed monthly, or $10/month equivalent prepaid annually. Standard is $45/$30/$25 per sender respectively, and Business Pro is $65/$45/$40. The Personal plan covers one user and five outgoing envelopes per month. Standard and Business Pro annual commitments include one hundred envelopes per user each year, while monthly subscriptions include ten per user per month. An envelope counts when sent even if the recipient never signs; a single envelope may contain multiple documents and signers. Additional envelopes can attract pay-as-you-go overages. Docusign’s own pricing explanation lists variable extra-envelope rates, optional SMS delivery and identity verification fees. The platform offers a 30-day eSignature trial, but its ongoing free account is primarily for recipients who need to sign rather than a permanent free sender tier. Annual subscriptions purchased directly may qualify for a 30-day refund under specified terms, while an annual commitment billed in monthly installments remains a year-long obligation after that window. Docusign documents integrations with Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Salesforce, HubSpot, Dropbox and numerous other apps. The platform is a strong candidate when compliance records, signing identity controls, multistep agreements and integrations matter. It is less budget-friendly for senders who need high envelope volume or advanced capabilities on the lowest plan. This profile is desk research only: Toollers did not send live envelopes, test identity verification, perform a security audit or obtain legal advice on local signature enforceability.
Best for
Businesses needing recognized electronic signatures, rich audit trails, reusable agreement templates and CRM/office-suite integration.
DocuSign pros and cons
Pros
- Mature digital signature and audit-trail workflows support contract execution across departments.
- Standard and Business Pro add team templates, branding and structured agreement handling.
- Integrations cover Salesforce, Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, HubSpot, Dropbox and more.
- Multiple billing structures allow annual discounts or a no-commitment month-to-month plan.
- Recipients can review and sign without paying for a Docusign account.
Cons
- −Personal allows five sent envelopes per month; Standard and Business Pro have usage limits too.
- −Annual plans include only 100 envelopes per user per year, and additional sends can create overages.
- −An annual agreement billed monthly still commits the customer to twelve months after its cancellation window.
- −Payments, web forms, identity verification and SMS messaging may need higher tiers or add-ons.
- −IAM and Developer subscriptions have separate pricing and send policies that can complicate comparisons.
