About ProfitWell Metrics
ProfitWell Metrics is a subscription analytics product operated by Paddle after the 2022 ProfitWell acquisition. The core product gives SaaS, digital subscription and membership businesses dashboards for monthly recurring revenue, churn, customer retention, new subscription sales, upgrades, downgrades, reactivations, customer lifetime value and revenue per customer. It imports transaction and subscriber information from integrated billing sources, giving founders and finance and growth teams a more consistent view than separate processor exports. The central pricing fact is simple: Paddle continues to advertise the basic ProfitWell Metrics service as free. Its product page states that the analytics dashboards cost nothing, including for companies whose billing stack is not Paddle. Paddle Billing sellers also receive the metrics inside their live Paddle dashboard without additional setup. A separate, selectively sold Metrics Plus offering is documented in Paddle's help center, but no reliable public monthly or annual price is shown. Metrics Plus reportedly adds faster data refreshes, priority support and customized month-end MRR or customer-activity reports; buyers must ask for a quote and verify whether it is still being provisioned to new customers. The ordinary free dashboards update around every three to six hours according to Paddle developer documentation; published product-page descriptions of 'real time' should not be interpreted as guaranteed instantaneous accounting updates. Basic reports update every 3–6 hours, vendor help excludes metered-billing calculations, and prolonged free-account inactivity can lead to data deletion.
Best for
SaaS founders, growth analysts and finance teams needing free MRR, churn, subscriber cohort and retention dashboards from an existing billing source.
